Did you read the thread title? Yes, I did. "What we like to see at home next season". That = wishes and expectations. My point is we should never take for granted our attendance. it is astounding given this league. Likely scenario? No, but I’d love to see it. MAAC championship vs Fairfield in ‘10 had almost 11K. A title game vs Iona with Pitino could potentially draw the same. Especially if it’s the last game of the regular season where we’ve had another winning home record and it’s for the regular season title v. Iona & Pitino.

Pitino should sell out every MAAC arena he’s in next year.

Pitino should sell out every MAAC arena he’s in next year. Iona may have to move to the Westchester Convention Center eventually if Pitino is successful, which I and most others think he will.

Pitino should sell out every MAAC arena he’s in next year. Why? Would you pay to go watch him stand on a sideline? I wouldn’t.

Pitino should sell out every MAAC arena he’s in next year. Why? Would you pay to go watch him stand on a sideline? I wouldn’t. Because he's one of the top 5 college coaches of all time, and he's in our little conference. You dont think if he coached Siena, we'd get 9-10K a night?? I do. He's attached to the Knicks, Celtics, UK, UL and even spent time at UMass, Syracuse and BU.

some folks might be repulsed, but he will bring in fans to every game, as he is a celebrity NCAA coach...great shot in the arm to an ailing conference. people may even show up to St. Peter's games.

How long is RP actually going to stay at Iona is the real question. Give him 2 years.

Completely understand and appreciate the long time fans and season tickets holders. I am not questioning anyone's loyalty to the program, as I have had seaons tickets for almost 30 years. The issue I brought up is the lack of noise and enthusiasm by the aging fan base. Saints games typically are the most quiet of any 5000 - 7000 fan games I have ever attended. Really pathetic sometimes how quite the TU is. Most just sitting there in silence the entire game. That in my opinion falls on the fans and as stated I would like to see a more enthusiastic fan environment next year. Great observation and love your dedication over the years like myself. Salute! you seem like a great guy. That said, yes, we draw 5-7k, which is in the top 20% conservatively in d1 with over 300 programs. Really fellas, the talk in here of aspirations of 8-12k is flat out greedy and not showing the thanks we should be to the fact we get 7k at the TUC. Geez, please think about that! Yes, most if our fans will bang their chests and seek that 8-12k. Its greedy and ignorant. Really? Crowds like providence, nova, Notre dame, etc? Our fan base doesn't get just how special our Albany fans are in representing and averaging >5k as a fanbase. We talk of 8-12k. Hey fellas, those #'s are a10 and ualbany and cuse home numbers. So quit the funny talk.

Iona - Siena scheduled for last game of the regular season both tied for 1st place going in - up attendance for that one 12000 fans in the house. There are some hot takes here. Our attendance getting 5-7k in albany by for a d1 cbb game in THIS league is a minor miracle. Such a tribute to our fans. Go look at mid major attendance, even Notre dame's at times. Some mids are 3 digits as a few in our league. 12k will NEVER happen for iona. Yes, get some interesting opponents and we might sniff 9-10k any given night. The 12k thing minus ualbany and cuse is a dream wo a legit league that we missed the boat on, the a10. We are flying high right now after having a monumental season at home, but this team, school, and fanbase should never take 7k for granted. Just go and look at the attendance in our league with 2,500 as a peak in a few arenas. Get real .... Why so negative? The future seems bright! 😎 Go Saints! Go Coach Carm!

Pitino should sell out every MAAC arena he’s in next year. A sellout in the maac in most "gyms" is 2k. Come on, read the room. He, along with us are the big boys in the conference . It's cool, we get it, but these sell outs will run from 600 to 3k in this " conference"we all respect.

That # was my motivation. Give me a break. You know these "wishes" are those attendance #'s. So, please quit the bs. Ty.

And since none of them ever sell out, Pitinos presence would make the difference.
