Nine years ago, I saw the realignment in the A-10 coming and dreamed that the Siena Adm would make an all out effort to get an invite. I saw it as an important opportunity, not only for the fans, but to elevate the school's status and public perception( why not , St. Bonnie's , Siena' s sister school was a member?)
Alas the A-10 was not as biased as me and did their homework on the likes of Mullen, D'Arg and the lapdog BOT members.
A move up to the A-10 or any other conference is now just a pipe dream.
Personally, I am not only disappointed but disgusted, with all the powers that be at Siena.

My new expectation for the Siena men's hoop program is that they will have a new coach for the 2018 - 2019 season. The Patsos Experiment is a total bust. Time to clean house and start new.

NEVER EVER EVER EVER, under any circumstances, should the team lose 20 or more games in any season................EVER...........worse case scenario, with all the resources/support we have going, that a .500 record or very close to that is a bottom out/rebuilding season..................

Spot on - the fact that we are headed in that direction only confirms that so-so has pirated the Program and sent it blindly out to sea to the Never-Never Land of make believe where he sees himself as a winning D1 coach - problem is the FAN portion of his FANtasy is rapidly depleting... wishing for Captain Hook to arrive and....well, you fill it in....

Always finish in the top 3 of the MAAC and when/if we miss out on playing in the Championship game consider the season a failure and put all our energy into wining the title the following year and going to the big dance. OH ya and stop worrying about losing our coach after a few years to an "UP" program and reloading with another "Up and Comer"!

I also EXPECT, whoever the head coach is.........that they EMBRACE the expectations of always trying to strive for a MAAC Championship, never deflect from that goal, and that EVERY game on the schedule is important (in fact, the next game you play is certainly the most important one to deal with).............and take OWNERSHIP when they fall short of that goal, basically accepting all the burden, and NEVER falling on excuses (injuries, tough schedule, roster scenario's, lack of talent/experience, etc.....)............NEVER under any circumstances throw a player or another coach under the bus (in fact, go the ends of the earth supporting them no matter the situation), be humble when you win, display great sportsmanship at all times, accept losing with dignity, respect the job title and be the appropriate face of the College.................
