So Siena was three Ws and one point away from calming you down this year. So close. ;-) Give us your bench mark for patsos to keep his job after next year. How many wins are you satisfied with-- 10? 5?

Easy for me- I expect a winning regular season- if he can’t do that will be 4 losing regular seasons in 5 years - terminate him. I want to see talent pool expand so I feel confident for future. I want to see him control himself on sideline that Canisius game was embarrassing. Want to see increased emphasis on recruiting. I have no problem with JP taking “vacation” but no more month of April off for Paris, May and June off for triple crown races and July and august off for track and cape Cod. Personally I don’t really care how much time he took off if we was signing top mid major talent- but when you continually strike out on your “a” recruits, bad optics to spend most of off season on “vacation”
I don’t want to hear excuses they we are too young ( 5th year his team) schedule too tough. Want to beat UA and Vermont
Let’s be frank here, if Jimmy only had a year left on his contract he would almost assuredly have been fired this year- losing regular season next year fire him day after MAAC tournament

if they fired him after the ualbany loss and didn't replace him that would be the same difference and thus acceptable too.

For me it's 20 wins and NCAA/NIT... anything else forget it is time to move on. If that had been accomplished last past year I wouldn't be as demanding but it did not happen. On paper you think this past year would have been the better chance of it with four seniors pretty accomplished but who knows maybe he can pull a rabbit out of his hat. I wish JP the best of luck - he's going to need it!

Give me a break...while I'd like a change to be made it obviously won't be this year so now I want Patsos make me eat crow next year. Big league. But I don't want to hear any more "excuses".

How many wins are you satisfied with-- 10? 5? Seriously Gorvy. 5? 10? Really? Winning record and top tier MAAC 1-4/5 at worst. The recruits have to have been able to contribute in a solid fashion by the MAAC schedule. Be competitive for the Tournament championship at the TUC in March. That is my criteria. What about you, 2-4 wins? Let's be serious.

Why not require a sweet sixteen finish too? If you were an Iowa fan .500 Fran would be toast. LOL

For me its 1st place in maac, or maac championship or top 100 finish in the rpi or other established rating system. Normally I wouldn't be so harsh for a termination but this is year 5 and none of those goals have been reached yet.

So first place is basically it, becauseoutside of the Fran Siena years the top 100 in the Kenpom was reserved for the MAAC champion only except for one year when #2 was also top 100. If that is your criteria, fire him now because your and MTS' criteria are highly improbable. That said, be prepared to be disappointed if your criteria are not met and my or Tony's more reasonable goals are achieved. If the lesser goals are not achieved I have no problem if the admin makes a move.

Basically you and others have already given up on the kids? Why not fire him now then, I'm ok with that. I don't believe they will get to .500 anyway, so it is probably a moot point.

Let me get this right. I'm giving up on the kids because I think they may not win the league championship next year, but you support the kids because you don't think they can get to .500. I guess they should thank you for your full support.

In your world there is a slim if not none chance of winning, and you know this before you even know who is on the team. Way to have faith in the program, why bother even turning on the tv or going to any games next season if you don't think there is a snowballs chance in hell of the team taking first place or having a great top 100 season. The only reason coach is still around is it thinks Siena fans are satisfied with .500 and is caught in a bind on the financials. I support the kids, I just don't think coach will bring them to their potential, (proof last four years). You are the one who is always saying that coach can't shoot the free throws, make the bunnies or take wild three point shots. So in essence you are saying that you have no faith in them already, nice.

How about this: = slow down the revolving door on transfers and coaching staff departures/replacements - no off court drama resulting in suspensions or 'leaves of absence' (family emergencies would be an exception) - everyone goes to class and carries an acceptable GPA - no sideline circus act - improvement in game planning and strategy - effective in game adjustments - less taking the air out of the ball when the lead is dwindling - every game counts
If all of that happens, and the new recruits are truly D-1 worthy, the record should be over .500. I'd think that .650-.750 would be reachable. No worse than 3rd in conference and poised to make a run at the Championship in March without rainbow farting unicorns coming to the rescue.
