The only reason Patsos is playing the big lineup is because Poole is the only viable option to play the 2 at the moment. Believe me if White was playing more consistent and hitting a few threes Poole would be the 3 and Long the 4.

Sorry but when you have two guys in the top 20 in the nation of a negative stat category it is a problem. There is a reason why the team is 6-9 and not say 9-6. Good win tonight though. Keep it rolling at home.

You can have your opinions. .fact is we started off with this lineup. .Poole at the 2 and Lavon at the 3... things changed when Wright took over the starting pg spot and Hymes went to the 2...Now we have Poole back at the 2 with Lavon at the 3 and Hymes coming off the bench...Lavon was always supposed to play some 4 when we go small but never the 5..Carry on I am done...Great win!

Keep it rolling at home. Its the new rules...Patsos is a defensive coach and his teams play hard...fouling is up across the nation...there is a reason we just held a team 30+ points below their average. I see improvements in the fouling and we won this game because of them..it will take time but we are headed in the right direction for sure...

That Monmouth game has to convince me a little more, but the fouls are trending downward so I think we will get there. Looking to see a good effort on the road to really convince me.

Total Delusion. Rider shot 14-27 from the line. was that great defense also? 20 fouls tonight. Rider shot 27% tonight. They had an all around bad shooting night. where are the improvements in the fouling. Got Lucky tonight Rider had one of those games, and if Rider hits a couple front ends of one and ones they would have had well over 3o fts

I hear you...that is the youth taking over on the road and the slightest interruption can throw everything out of wack...the change in time and last minute change in lineup knocked us off our flow and we did not recover well...It will be up and down on the road right now but I believe that too shall pass

They had an all around bad shooting night. where are the improvements in the fouling. Got Lucky tonight Rider had one of those games They shot 27% partly because Siena did a great job of protecting the rim. They made Rider a one dimensional team and forced them to take low percentage jump shots. Sure Rider missed some open looks and FT's but that's the nature of mid major basketball.

They had an all around bad shooting night. where are the improvements in the fouling. Got Lucky tonight Rider had one of those games Delusion? I think we played good defense tonite. Was that defense the sole reason for Rider's poor shooting? Absolutely not. But you can't discount it. As far as fouls go I look back to another MAAC game we won. The Niagara game (before the long break) we had 29 fouls and 3 guys fouled out. I know it's a small sample but that's improvement. I saw the game tonite (and nobody fouled out and though I saw aggressive defense (a hallmark for JP) I saw guys attempting to avoid fouls. All I'm saying is based on what I saw tonite against comparable (but supposedly a team in the top half) I am optimistic in the direction we are going with fouls.

I guess we will agree to disagree. Did not turn Rider into a one dimensional team. That is who they are. They take close to 20 threes a game and 33% of their fg attempts for the season are three pt attempts. they also shoot 74% from the ft line even after tonights game.

And we had 7 blocks - that accounts for something regarding our defense affecting their shooting. Not to mention them thinking about it.
