Seems to me that guys like Poole, Hymes, Silas, Oliver, Adu and Bispring were all considered MAAC level recruits when they were brought on board. With all due respect to the new guys, but aren't they all, collectively, considered to be MAAC level recruits as well? Personally, I get sick of new recruits being hyped and kids in the program getting (metaphorically) kicked to the curb after their freshman year. One of Tony's favorite cliche's involves the thought that college players make their biggest jump between the freshman and soph season. I'd expect a couple of the current 2nd year players to make leaps and be integral parts of any success the program sees going forward. (My personal guess is that will be Oliver and Bispring.) My guess is that the playing rotation will be: Wright Hymes Poole Long Bispringwith Oliver, White, JO and Silas getting the majority of minutes off the bench. Adu replaces Hymes in the rotation (and Oliver replaces him in the starting lineup) until Hymes is back from the injury. Cole is the wildcard ... if he's eligible, he may be the starter and Oliver/White are fighting it out for meaningful minutes. It's BispingBrett Bisping Sophomore Forward #31 Morton, IL If you guys are so high on these kids at least give them the respect of knowing their names.......... Sheeeeez! Simmer down racer, simmer down. Sorry Mrs. Bisping, didn't mean to insult you or your son.

Forgot the wins, staring line ups, etc for a minute.
What I like about this year is that the expectations are low. Hear me for a second before you start blasting me!
When I was around when Fran started here, nobody gave a hoot about the basketball team...but I saw students and residents of the Capital Region become more engaged as the season continued. We almost had Saint Peters, an excellent team, in 2006 MAAC tournament. There was a buzz and it translated into people starting to notice Siena Basketball in the immediate area.
That's what I want to see when I come to games. I want to see the excitement again from the Capital Region. I want to see the TUC loud and excited- that is why I enjoy watching Siena Basketball.
Sure, do you have to win? Absolutely. But I want the close game losses too- that is some of the best basketball I enjoy the most and many of us on the board do to. It is a growing pain but it's better than a 20 point loss!
Think about last year- What did we get excited about? The last second win against Canisius? Or did we get more excited that the Last one got canned?
So yeah, win...but bring the brand that people want to see if they take a trip to Albany, NY. Bring the energy back!

Schedule is brutal to start. Throw in a stretch of vs Iona, at Manhattan, at Iona in mid January and you are hard pressed to find 14 wins. Jimmy has some pieces to work with and hopefully we see progress throughout the season. Wow...this is a great prediction! So stop bashing the team shithead, we are on par for your estimate.
