Perhaps the list of attendees got scrambled with the list of presenting coaches. Would love to be a fly on the wall listening to what MB says about conducting practices for comparison with what he actually did during practices! Or maybe he is there to tell up and coming coaches what NOT to do! He should excel at that. His resume would qualify him as an expert.

Actually, I still believe he could be a great assistant for someone. He just isn't' HC material.

If belly dancing is one of the late game situAtions it actually might be worth the price of admission. The scars run deep , folks. The scars run deep.

I think I can say Mitch was the worst head coach ever at Siena--- he or Beyer hold just about every single season or career losing records.. I think Beyer was better recruiter. I really have not a thing good to say about Mitch B as a head coach—he single handedly put Siena’s program into the toilet in 3 short years – and due to his unbalanced classes and questionable scholarships the stench from his tenure will take another few years to clear out

That alone puts Beyer in the lead for worst in my book. And I personally was friends with yet another co-ed Beyer was banging back then. Not cool.

A few things-- when Mitch got stags to dance it was a different era- no 3 point shot and no shot clock.. I'll give you Mitch was good asst...as head coach.... Mitch was beyond horrible- he took one of the top mid majors in country and in 3 short years turned us into one of worst teams in D1. Time will tell on Mitch recruits--- but after 3 years he has no players he recruited make ALL MAAC ( Beyer recruited several) .. and dont give me Poole he verbaled to Fran-- only player with a chance of being an all MAAC player is JO-- and once again Mitch was lucky--JO's mother wanted him at Siena.. no taking where program was when Mitch took over and where he drove it in 3 years its not even close. In all my years of following college basketball I'm not sure I've seen a worse head coach than Mitch- he was abusive to players- played a style better suited to 1981 - a style fans disliked so he lied to the Siena admin and Siena fans on what style he would play... you might call him a good guy.. I say he was a horrible head coach and a bullshitter

Mitch is gone so no need to drag his name through the mud. Remember w/ Fran he worked extremely hard, was an excellent assistant and part of one of the greatest runs in Siena basketball history. So at least show the man some respect.
I find this topic in bad taste.
