Watched a video of a complete game last night. White's stroke looks better than I thought from three. I think he was 2-4 in the game. Only saw the defensive intensity in a few instances, and he didn't move or work much without the ball on offense. That's probably more indicative of typical high school coaching as opposed to Maurice's motor and is sure to improve under real D1 coaching.

Cole prob wont play much pg...prob more 2/3 I would think since Patsos gave Wright the keys and he will be a year ahead if Cole does not get his waiver....the only guys to play the 3 in Canada was Lavon and Poole who looks real good as a combo guard at 6'5 playing the 1-3 on the trip....Poole prob shoots better than Cole but I can see Patsos using them the same way...With Wright taking over the head the battle for minutes at the 2 will be fierce...Long and Poole will play the 3 as they have been doing...Poole is the starting 3 that can spell the 1 and 2.....when Cole comes I can see them together as 1-2 or 2-3....like I said this team has options and can go big or small

Cole or Poole will hold down the 3 next year. I would think we would wait to see what happens this year before we worry about what will happen next year.

White is def a 2 but Poole plays 1-3 right now so it will be about where he ends up before other guys are put in place...Poole started out as a 2 for Patsos but Wright changed all that taking over the 1 and moving Hymes to the 2....this will all get worked out in practice... White has to catchup and as of right now Hymes is the starter at the 2 which makes Poole a 3....let the battles begin...guys will earn their time

Everytime some one mention white ppc you go against him. You must have problem with white. He can score and play defense.

How is saying "White is def a 2" going against him? We want White to be a 2, it's one of our positions with question marks.

I really doubt Poole is gonna play all that much at 2 for JP now that we have White. Poole is a predominately a 3.

Haha so because there is much disagreement by a bunch of people on a message board about Poole playing the 2 that means Jimmy is going to listen to you and not play him there. You have really lost touch with reality. Simply go look at his Loyola teams the past few years and tell me how he used Cormier. The first half of last year he even played the point. Hes a very similar player to Poole. Jimmy obviously feels comfortable with Poole at the 1-3 based on how he was used in Canada so i see him being used much like Cormier.

Does it really matter at the mid-major level? Most MAAC teams play 3 guards and 2 bigs. No one cares what their # (2 or 3) is. There's a PG, and 2 wings. As long as the 2 bigs can rebound well, most small schools play it that way.
Edwin was a FREAK at our level. You won't see many 6'7" SF's in the MAAC ever again.

Yeah, we'll see how much Poole has the ball in his hands running point this season, as far as the 2 goes he'll see time but much less now that we have White and even less if Cole gets a waiver. We really have a log jam at the 2 when you factor in Hymes, Audu and Oliver. Where are all the minutes coming from ... It's you that needs a reality check. Yeah I need a reality check. I will let the coach decide, not pretend what I say on here will have any influence on what Jimmy does. Im going off what he has done so far and what he has done in the past. You are speculating based off what you want to see.

Many on this board have gone ahead and anointed White the heir apparent for the 2 slot. He may well take that job quickly as is being assumed, but let's keep the expectations in check a bit. He hasn't yet played a minute of college ball, and while he has some clear attributes that make us very hopeful for his success, he is still a freshman.
I'm of the opinion that Hymes really should not be starting at the two, but needs to back up the point and add depth at the 2. I predict that our starting lineup for the UA game is going to be:
Wright Poole Long Bisping Silas
If Maurice cracks the starting lineup, that's nothing but good news for us fans. That means he's as good as we all hope he is. If that happens, I'd like to see this:
Wright White Poole Long Silas
This because I feel like Lavon is too strong and versatile not to start, and he has a motor from what I've seen. I think the limits on his playing time will be based on how well he can avoid foul trouble.
If Silas is unable to reel in the turnover and foul issues that he's had, I would like to see JO moved into that spot. I think he is less of a defensive concern than Bisping.
With Audu and Oliver showing well in Montreal, we really do appear to have great depth at the perimeter. Lots of options and fresh legs to enable up and down, pressing basketball!
This bridge year is going to be fun to watch while the cream rises to the top on this team.
