Anyone one know what the cut off date is for knowing Cole won't be getting a waiver? For example, if we don't hear by early Oct, is it considered too late for potential "good" news?
Is it good news or bad news that we haven't heard anything yet?

Was tweeted today that he was denied on his waiver, and will not be eligible until 2014-2015.

But the waiver has not been denied at this point. It might be eventually but no word yet as it was just submitted. Pat thinks a decision will be made in October according to a tweet he send out recently. Hopefully he will get the waiver but getting Maurice White helps if he does not. If he gets the waiver we'll have 0 seniors, 4 juniors, 4 sophomores and 5 freshmen. If he does not then next year we'll have 4 seniors, 3 juniors, 6 sophomores and 0 freshmen.

Two seasons ago, MoMo Jones was granted his waiver on October 20th.

Andrew Santillo tweeted yesterday Cole was denied Waiver..he was working off this release.. www.sienasaints.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/083013aaa.htmlI'm not sure Siena has actually heard from NCAA on waiver, my understanding the waiver was just recently applied for ..so until we hear from NCAA Patrick is slated to play 2014/2015 season.so the release is technically accurate

I think the concerns about Siena applying for a waiver for Cole turning Siena into Iona are a tad over the top. Now if Siena starts trying to bring in numerous transfers that have baggage similar to TB's I'll be right there with you. "We" are not there and at this point I would support giving TB a shot at Siena. That being said, I understand why they haven't yet.

I am not sold that this kid is such a great "catch", after all he had a "nice" season at Coppin State, which last I looked was not confused with Ohio state or Michigan State. If he gets the waiver we will have at the 2 : White, Hymes, Oliver, Audu, maybe Poole, and now Cole? Seems like 3 too many to me.

He'll swing between the 2 and 3 helping White and Poole. And if we get the combo guard we need for next year then even more 3 next year

The only 3's are Poole and Long right now...I think Poole moves back to the 2 more if Cole gets the waiver so Long and Cole at 6'5 and 6'6 Long holding down the 3 spot...no need to go smaller than 6'5 at the 3 ever esp with a 5'7 2g

Long will play mostly at 4 with Poole at 4. With Wright, Hymes, White, and Oliver the back court is set

Long Poole and Bisping at the 2,3, and 4 made good music together ...dont see Patsos going away from that completely
6'5 6'6 6'8 Patsos likes size and Poole is a guard not a forward ...with the makeup of this team he need not log mins at the 4...Long has proven the skill set to play the 3 and did well in Montreal as a 3/4 really dont see that changing ...how much he plays 3 vs 4 will depend on the matchups..

Not having gone to Montreal, just readind/watching what has been reported here it would seem Wright and Poole are "locks" the other three spots to be sorted out in the next two months. There are undoubtedly going to be some disappointed players come November.

I am with you on that...Wright locked down the pg spot and Poole was the leading scorer both made good use of the minutes they got...

I see White playing the 2 this year and poole playing the 3. When Cole comes next year Pole may move to the 4 and Cole to the 3. That's a lot of fire power.
