Nah Mack is out of our league. But a guy who needs a job and who is a big winner but has Pitino like baggage. I’ve got TWO words for Siena: GREGG MARSHALL

If someone gives him a chance it’ll be an obsure school near his previous coaching stops in South Carolina or Kansas.

I'm shocked, I didn't think they'd actually do it. Carm was better than 4-28, but he wasn't a good coach either.
Regardless he just seems like a prick. Should've been fired immediately after slapping Tekin, really showed his true colors there.

Probably would never happen here, but this guy can coach and is probably one of the best coaches in this country without a job. I cant pretend to know the full extent of the issues and investigation that lead to his ouster.

Marshall was canned for hitting players, there’s no way they even consider him an option

I don't know the Marshall situation, but Carm slapped a kid on live TV lmao, we seem to be okay with that.

Announce the firing and his own retirement? What are the chances?

Pat Duquette from UMass-Lowell is a guy that has certainly figured things out the last couple of years with the portal. Not sure anyone is supposed to win games coaching at that place, but he's done well the last couple of seasons.
And take the Tim Cluess approach - who is there down at the D-2 level that is really killing it.........

Siena needs to call Xavier. They've had continuous turnover for 2 decades and consistently make good picks. That's the model. Whatever they are doing, copy it.

From Announcement:
"After thorough evaluation and careful consideration, we have decided to move forward in a different direction with our men's basketball program," said D'Argenio. "We appreciate the commitment that Carm has given to Siena College as its men's basketball head coach. We had some early successes but, unfortunately, we were not able to build upon them over the past year and a half. The value of Siena Basketball to the College and the Capital Region makes a change in course necessary."

Don't really care who the new coach is as long as Siena makes sure they include a big buyout in the contract. Next time a coach threatens to take the Fordham job to get an extension I want Siena to be able to say "sure, go ahead and take that job and we will collect the $1 million buyout and move on".
