Right. As far as helping our rankings its not even close. Albany provides one thing now and it's not helping our RPI or whatever the best ranking is now. This isn't very hard either. Not even anything to look up if you know anything about basketball or you don't hate everything Siena. Again, you like UAlbany hoop so much, get your tickets for SEFCU. Do they sell beer there? True, and are we really gonna worry about our Rpi? Geeez, it's simple, an at large is nearly impossible, we need to win the maac in March to get it, its clear and simple. Agree but it does play a part in the seeding once you’re in the tournament.

Good point, so thus my arguement to play some juicy mac, caa, and a10 teams that are beatable instead of beating our chests when we go to a big boy and get ripped by 30. Anyone can do that. Albany is one game that is great for the program and fans and regardless of their rpi, should be played.

You guys are going in circles- here is bottom line- UA walked away from game. Siena will not nor should they play at sefcu. So until/unless UA drops the demand the game is payed at sefcu every other year- nothing is going to happen. missatomic should head over to UA board and lobby UA on merits of game. Not here, Siena's position is very clear. Siena is willing to play game every year at TUC.( 5 mile from Ualb campus) Not sure what part of that you guys dont understand?

The simple compromise would be to include the game in both teams' season tickets package every year. Obviously this would require a few fans to get bumped to slightly different seats and issuing paper tickets for that one game but those are minor obstacles to overcome. Both teams would sell more season tickets and everybody wins.

I just don't get what's the big deal with going home and home with UA. We saw how Siena struggled on the road this year and home court is a huge advantage in college basketball, why would UA want to play every game in a series with another similar opponent on their home court. This game should be treated like any other road game if it's not played at the TUC, go to the game if you can, most Siena road games draw a busload of fans and a few others just because the game is played in Albany doesn't mean you're entitled to a ticket. Just ask yourself would Siena ever play any opposing team on the road every year, you guys would flip out. It's a no brainier to play UA it's one less game to worry about scheduling and paying travel expenses. Next time Syracuse plays Cornell, Colgate, St Bonaventure, Siena, Albany, Buffao, Cansisius or Niagara on a home and home basis, your argument will have merit. I am not saying Siena is at the level of Syracuse, they obviously are not. But, like Syracuse, Siena has to do what's best for Siena. I never complain about P5 programs not playing road games at mid majors. I get it, they have little to gain and much to lose. What I don't get is why you think Siena should give up the advantages they have: the facility, fan base and attention they garner in the Capital District, to play Albany at Albany? Don't get me wrong, I like the Albany game and see value in it. At the TU. If that doesn't work for UAlbany, that's fine, don't schedule it.

I think we all knowwe aren't close to the same level as cuse and a home/home with any of those teams is what it will take being Siena. Yes, I think simply giving ualbany a "home" advantage with home seasons every other year for ualbany seasons will go far in getting the game at TUC every year. And why not, we will still have a 70/30% fan advantage no matter where we are sitting.
