No thanks, game is worth nothing to the program. Move on. Not for the program so much but rather the community, students, local businesses and the TU. Any mid major game that can draw 5 figures in Albany has some merit. It just doesn’t need to be played at UA but other arrangements can be made at the TU where both should be able to agree on t&c’s. Personally I think it’s a fun event especially on a Friday or Saturday night. i dont care about the rest... i care what is good for the program. If Siena is winning 20 games... people come out to see them. People come to see them, the local business feels it. UA brings nothing to the table on this deal... pound salt.

Either play it as a home and home or scratch it. When they play at UA buy your tickets early or watch on TV. Social distancing will have more people streaming and watching from home. Def not home and home. Why? Are we better than them? What's the difference if it was any other AE team? Do teams in other cities with more than one school require the game be played at one schools home court?

That's easy. 10000+ people, businesses, etc. If you try to tell me 4200 and watch parties are an equivalent, you confirm your dopiness. Its not just another AE team. Its THIS areas largest school.

How much does Siena have to pay them for giving up a home game? When teams in Philly play do they play them all at one site or home court of one team?

I'm not doing your work for you. Do some research of some comparable situations to back up your claims. Use a link. There better be evidence of schools playng at another school within a 10 mile radius with almost a third of the seating capacity on a regukar basis. Then we can talk.

Like I said all you have to do is go to Philly not all games are played at Villanova's home court Wells Fargo center 19,500. Saint Joseph's 4200 LaSalle 3400 Drexel 2500 Temple 10000

we have to understand the Albany's AD agenda............Siena is now an NCAA tournament team and will be the favorite if not one of the top 2 choices to win the MAAC again next year........the Danes have EVERYTHING to gain from winning/playing the game vs the Saints, Siena not so much at this point, any fool should understand that..................however, because of the close proximity of two D1 schools, it does make sense to have the teams play................game is ONLY at TUC, not part of any season ticket package, so anyone who wants to go simply just buy a ticket anywhere in the building (although you could designate sides and make sure you have certain areas pre-determined for each student body).........the Arena could have both logo's on the court with perhaps color coded FT lanes & back end lines (like nfl endzones with team knicknames) and just an Albany County map center court logo...........depends on how each AD digs their heels in the sand to figure it out.............

You are either lazy, stupid or both. Wells Fargo is not their home court. finneranpavilion.com/Other than Kansas and one tournament game, Nova played all their OOC games on campus in Finneran (including Lasalle and Xavier!). They also played Big East games Depaul, Butler. Marquette and St Johns at Finneran. Finneran doesn't hold even twice Lasalle & St Joes places (I didnt take the time to see if you were accurate on their capacity). And link me to the last time Nova played Drexel at ALL, much less at their home court. Although this takes a little time, it's easy as hell. So your Nova comparison is not comparable. I stand by my contention and just chalk yours up as hatred of everything Siena. If you like it so much go to SEFCU Arena for their A-East games and tell us how wonderful UAlbany is. In fact, take up your old hobby and count seats there.

UAlbany ended any chance of ever hosting this game again when they tried to exclude Siena fans from the game in 2017. If you remember, pretty much the only way you could get a ticket was to buy their season ticket package (many on this board did just that). As I recall, the game wasn’t included in their season ticket package but you had to be a season ticket holder in order to buy a ticket to the Siena game. They also got greedy and charged like $60 for a ticket and some crazy amount to park. The Siena Administration got so many complaints that I doubt they will ever let that happen again.

It also provides no recruiting advantage as local kids already know us whereas playing a home and home with teams from Boston, philly, DC and Detroit can help us.
I assume we will start a series with a school out in Michigan if we keep recruiting there

And that was when we were at a low point. Over the last 10 years they have won the A-East once, finished 2nd once no higher than 4 the last 3 years. If they wanted to make inroads in Cap Dist hoops they missed their chance. A 20,000+ student university backed by the power, influence and money of NYS.
