Not sure how Benson would take it after it was supposed to be temporary, but a continuous series of a home at the TU, neutral at the TU, then a game at UAlbany would work as a compromise as far as I'm concerned. Siena gets all the $$$ for a home game, splits the second, then after a year off from the TU it builds excitement for the next Siena home game. Thoughts? No way his game should ever be played at the SEFCU again. Tried that once and UA F'd over everyone. Parking, ticket prices, etc. This game should never, never, never be at the SEFCU!

Play at Mohegan Sun or Springfield If no one can agree on venue. Get real this is a capital district game.

Ya, absolutely none on an arrangement like this. Especially after the way UA screwed everyone the last time they had the game at SEFCU.

Playing the game on the UA campus when you have a facility like the TU, that can accommodate all the fans, is just plain stupid. You don't have it part of the season ticket package, to make it fair to fans from both schools. This has been argued over and over. Now that a little time has passed without a game, you see who is trying to initiate the series again. I for one will never deal with that ridiculous set-up they have for their games on that campus ever again. Every thing about it is negative and ridiculous.

If the TUC were a neutral court many of these arguments would work but I seem to remember hearing that regardless of the seating or the money split, the NCAA considers any game we play on our home court a Siena home game. Isn’t that the real problem?

I think the only significance is that a home win is worth less than a road win against the same team, and a home loss hurts more than a road loss. One game does not determine your NET ranking, So I don’t think that’s a real issue. As long as Benson and Brown insist on a home and home, do not play the game.

UA has been Sienas redheaded stepchild since they went D-1. Always fighting for respect in the 518. Desperate to prove that there's 2 D-1 programs in the area. Our fans dont want to give an inch to that train of thought. UAlbany really excelled the last decade while we struggled. It's still, and always will be, a Siena basketball town.
The "game" not being played has proven one thing. UAlbany basketball isnt talked about very much around town. THEY need the game more than we do. Common sense dictates the game is played at the TUC every year, but i understand why they want it at their place every other year. The year its their home game, they should get a week for first dibs on tickets and seats....starting with the 3 sections behind their bench from midcourt down to the baseline. Game cant be part of our home package that year.
Look any game that creates buzz locally and draws 5 figures annually, is a good thing. For BOTH schools. I'm hoping it comes back, but its got to be at the TUC. They get a week to buy as many seats as they want for their "home" game. No excuses, if a school that size, with that many alumni, cant make the TUC a purple lean every other year it on them!

The last time he game was played, it was not party he opp of the Siena season ticket package. Season ticket holders from both programs got the first chance to buy, Siena on the bench side and Albany opposite side. Albany sold fewer than 1,000 tickets before the public sale started..
If Albany fans were upset that they couldn’t sit behind their bench, then spilt the arena north-south instead of East-west. I sat in 105 instead of 120 last time. It was no big deal.

Play at Mohegan Sun or Springfield If no one can agree on venue. Defeats the whole purpose of a game for the community.

Either play it as a home and home or scratch it. When they play at UA buy your tickets early or watch on TV. Social distancing will have more people streaming and watching from home. Def not home and home.

No thanks, game is worth nothing to the program. Move on. Not for the program so much but rather the community, students, local businesses and the TU. Any mid major game that can draw 5 figures in Albany has some merit. It just doesn’t need to be played at UA but other arrangements can be made at the TU where both should be able to agree on t&c’s. Personally I think it’s a fun event especially on a Friday or Saturday night.
