Not at the expense of playing home and home. If we are playing AE it should be Vermont. They have a lot of alumni here, they recruit here and it’s a natural geographic rivalry and we have had some good games against them Yes. Definitely. Would like to see Carm reach out to them. Stony Brook would be better for our RPI than Albany as well. They finished under 2nd ONCE in the AE in the last 10 years.

Vermont would be a program worth home and home.

This isn't very hard either. Not even anything to look up if you know anything about basketball or you don't hate everything Siena. Again, you like UAlbany hoop so much, get your tickets for SEFCU. Do they sell beer there?

My issue is that when the game was played at SEFCU, they dicked around with pricing for the game and parking and there were limited seats for Siena fans. I understand their desire for home court advantage but then treat it like a regular game. IMO they took advantage of the situation and now they need to pay for it a bit.
I like the game but agree it should be at the TUC where all fans can be accommodated. Split the $. Plenty to be had.

Weren't we 1-6 with them over the last 7 years? Gotta right that wrong! No, we don't. That was then, this is now. Each program goes it's separate way, undoubtedly wishing each other the best.

Siena has offered to split the money, even knowing that most of the ticket sales would come from Siena fans. That wasn't good enough for Albany. They have insisted on playing at SEFCU every other year. I don't want to play the game ever again, but if it does happen for some God knows what reason, there is no way that it should ever be played at SEFCU.

I’m surprised it took this long for this to be posted. Story w as available last evening. I think it shows that Siena fans are beyond caring whether the game is played. Playing the game is fine with me but it has to be downtown. It’s not a game for the community if the venue does not allow any basketball fan who wants to see you he game to do so. As Tony said, the arena can be split fairly and in fact it was the last time the game was played at the TUC. Yes, the game needs to be at the TUC. It's only right and a great cbb atmosphere and puts Albany area hoops on the map for a night. Whatever the issues were and one was prime seats going to ualbany or Siena fans needs to be addressed and we need to come to the middle so it isn't a landslide Siena homegame year after year. I think we can do that. Yes, they are down right now, but they did kick our butts the last 5 years or so. Now is our chance to get things back to normal.

Play at Mohegan Sun or Springfield If no one can agree on venue. Get real this is a capital district game. That is a horrible idea. The game only makes sense to give the TUC a big time atmosphere one time per year.

How much does Siena have to pay them for giving up a home game? When teams in Philly play do they play them all at one site or home court of one team? You got a lot of questions. I'm not doing your work for you. Do some research of some comparable situations to back up your claims. Use a link. There better be evidence of schools playng at another school within a 10 mile radius with almost a third of the seating capacity on a regukar basis. Then we can talk. There isn't, similar mid level programs figure it out and play at the most accommodating facility in town, the most juice, the best atmosphere.

Sure stonybrook currently is a better win, but that changes year to year. These games are scheduled out where you sometimes don't know just how quality the team will be the year they actually play you. I think it's worth the risk and buzz to get double the attendance for Albany vs SB.

Good points, and yes, are we really gonna question if Albany will show up at the TUC? Geeez, some have really short memories around here.

Do they sell beer there? True, and are we really gonna worry about our Rpi? Geeez, it's simple, an at large is nearly impossible, we need to win the maac in March to get it, its clear and simple.
