In fairness folks, the 18 games was to help teams like Siena, Quinny, Iona when they have good squads to NOT lower their RPI by playing bottom feeders twice. They can't force teams to be good but they can limit the damage a bad team can do to a good team's RPI. Unless of course they don't schedule good games and then they lose those couple extra bad games to other conferences...worsing the MAAC's standing further.

The conference has too many teams and too many teams that are not committed to winning, which will continue to hold it back from being a legitimate mid major league again.

In times of disagreement, I think it’s prudent to bring in the Siena board resident expert on these things, this poster has proven record of consistency of not only predicting Siena’s season but the MAAC in general *( like all of us he is by no means infallible) but his record speaks for itself over the last 20 years, probably not only best on predicting Siena but the entire MAAC - Gorvy—what’s your take on Rider? Or is this too early to tell, are you still in off season mode? Unfortunately for Rider fans, as long as Baggett is the coach they can expect more of the same.
