He's actually listed at 6'0 now on verbal commits. If accurate, he's grown a lot and is now a good size for a division 1 PG. He has 4 offers currently, so he'll land somewhere. The staff has got offers out to a lot of PGs that appear to have more upside than him, but I'll say he's now certainly someone to keep an eye on for 2020 if he's no longer 5'8. I think you got the 5’8” Anderson mixed up with Amica. Amica is probably 5’11”, but he can play. He’s a CR kid and since we signed his teammate Luke, I figure we have a recruiting advantage. I still like Noah better, and not sure we d recruit Amica if we sign a smaller guard this year. I think you're right. I got those two mixed up. They've got a bunch of other PGs on their wish list, some of which are on the smaller side. So I wonder why they're not looking at him.

youtu.be/-Qht00zMJkYSome highlights of Luke’s Federation semifinal game against Christ the King, which featured 2021 5-star Moussa Cisse (the kid who blocked approximately 30 shots in this game). Luke was great, had 23 and 14 in this game. Showed a lot of the skills I mentioned in the above post, except the defensive stuff. Man, you could have told me that was highlights of a game of Brett Bisping in high school and I would have believed you. Same offensive skillset and even slightly slow on defense on occasion like Bisping was. Will be really fun if he can develop into that. Keep in mind though that even though Bisping was better as a freshman than most our other big men he still only averaged 3.2 PPG and 2.6 RPG his freshman year. Would be thrilled to see Sutherland match those numbers.

And keep in mind that Bisping Freshmen year Siena was 8-24—with all kinds of injuries. Just very difficult for true freshmen to break into playing groups with established teams at MAAC level. In normal years Sloan wouldn’t even have played or played very little last year as true 18 year old freshmen ( BTW happy B day to Sloan who turned 19) So Luke will have his hands full trying to get into playing rotation this year- and if he doesn’t I hope some of you guys don’t “turn” on him. Love Luke’s long term potential as he matures

Playing time and rotations will work itself out. My only concern at this point now is rounding out the roster with Webster. Hope we here some good news this week.

Nice pic, but I think he looked better in the green and gold gear! He didn't immediately commit on the visit to paradise, which is a good sign for us. With no further visits planned, I put our chances at an even 50/50. Not bad odds at all. I expect a decision will be made this week. Fingers crossed!

Watching a full game of Websters. Off shooting game in first half but he looks good physically. He also seems like a solid defender and is fairly quick and active. His team seems pretty selfish.

Welcome to prep school. Gotta get yours. Him putting up the stats he did over a full season for a program like that is impressive though.

Of note, he's bit of a reach around and poke guard like Brookins.

Philmon Gebrewhit transferring from RMU. Was an academic redshirt last season. Was considered a significant steal from an ability standpoint for RMU. Was ranked pretty good by NERR and put it big numbers at Holderness. Ran with Expressions Elite for AAU.
Not sure if his departure from RMU is a sign he did poorly academically, but would inquire.

Would guess it's a grade thing and he'll be in JUCO next year.

In the FWIW category:
GW had their D2 exhibition today. Jameer Nelson Jr was their best player on the floor and Shawn Walker played only 4 minutes. They don’t have much depth but he appears to be at the end of their bench.

Shawn Walker may end up a good player at GW- but if a blowout win over a d2/d3 team is any indication Shawn won’t be playing much this year. Goes to show you, you never know about freshmen. This thread is interesting reading. Some thought the sky was falling when we lost Walker, time will tell but we may have dodged a bullet
