Interesting last night, good ol' Rodger had a clip of JC's interview at GW. He sounded the familiar "We are gonna show these players the love in the locker room", etc. etc. But, then Rodger had a most interesting comment after all of that.... something like .... "Funny, those are the same words I heard all year when he was at Siena." Lot of questions out there yet on JC- is this all sincere? Is he the real deal? Will he skyrocket to a major conference? But, that will be only a passing interest now. It is on to Carm and the Saints and as the AD said yesterday... to "NCAA wins" . Glad to see that Burns has decided to stay. He can be a building block. Hope others join him and soon. Go Saints!

It really upsets me to know that Carm was left to tell the players of Jamion's leaving. I can understand that after a year, Jamion missed his son too much and felt the need to move back to that area. However, I feel the players deserved the respect to be told face to face. To me, that puts a whole different complexion on the situation. I am very disappointed.

From what I have read he asked to tell the players and was told no by the AD. Manny Camper at the least has indicated he has been in touch with him via text message so isn't like he is freezing the players out. If he's in touch with a guy he didn't even recruit I assume he's probably talked to everyone at this point.

Rodger Wyland said on his radio show today that JC told him he encouraged all players to stay at Siena including Jalen and Don. He did not want to come on to be interviewed though. Take this FWIW I'm not believing much of anything JC says these days.

I’m thinking along the lines of loyalfan but with the caveat of maybe JC should have been above board with AD/Siena that he wanted to interview with GW (like Fran did with Iowa). That’s the part that bugs me and that I’m not going to let go of for a little while longer. I lost respect for JC once he did that, regardless of the fact that after he informed John that he accepted a position that John may not even been aware that he was looking into.

JC will love the GW players and program just like he did at Siena.... until the next better offer and dream job comes along!!! Any player thinking about going to GW to play for him should be well aware of that and factor it in to their decision... despite whatever promises it is that JC makes to them.

I agree but in all fairness, that is true for 99% of coaches in the business and people who are passionate about their chosen careers. Who knows, if the love continues to be spread though multiple dream jobs maybe he solves that age old with for world peace!

Not only do basketball coaches tell people what they want to hear but a majority of the population does that. all politicians do that. The sad part of it is the speakers do not believe a word of what they are saying. They say whatever to get what they want to get. My Father said don't forget your word is your honor. The golden rule has also changed. It is now do it to others before they do it to you.

Perhaps if he'd put his big boy pants on and been more transparent, timely and forthright to Siena Admin, it would have been allowed-maybe even encouraged. FYI JC "bolted" -according to Mark S -revealing word choice. I thought it was apropos and pretty bold of Mark S to use, letting his real feelings slip...Or maybe I'm off base with all of this-but as an English teacher that's what I do-analyze words, lol.

I don't want to make Pickett staying sound official and jinx it, but if Pickett stays we have to take a step back and look at what's going on. If only 2 people transfer from a team on a regular year, that's probably average. With a coaching change and only 2 transfer? Not sure what the average amount of transfers are after coaching changes but this would be remarkable.

Also, has there been any update on Richard? Would love to see him stay he'd be a great offensive spark and depth piece but I haven't heard any optimism he might stay.
