Who cares? It’s a new era, it’s almost as if he was never here. Honestly, what did he accomplish? 17 wins and 0 post season success. Let’s go get a chip with Carm next year. . Agreed the record states he accomplished nothing here. He was hired away based on past success. Hopefully carm can make this right, quickly. Been a long decade. 17 got the GW job primarily on what he did at MSM. While he did a very good job in his one season at Siena hard to imagine he’s getting another job after one career 17-16 season. Personally there’s more than we know. IMHO at some point he realized he made a mistake leaving an area he was from his whole life. He didn’t need Siena to get GW. The thought was he left MSM for Siena to win big and eventually get a BCS job. If it was to go to the A10 he would’ve just stayed at MSM. Anyway I’m excited about the future!! Go Saints!!!

One Indian you must be one of the milleniums who have no code of honor. I don't come off as a teenaged girl. I come off as an adult alum who was played with and lied too. My father said a man's word was his worth. I don't see that with JC. Read Tom Brokow's book "The greatest generation and you understand my philosophy.

Mike ... let it go ... JC just tells the crowd what it likes to hear & the crowd believes it ... first public statement at GW he announced he got the dream job he wished for since he was a child ... I’m sure everyone in DC is esthetic ... let them enjoy his tenure while it lasts as we all did.

Get over it Mike time to move on, life’s too short. Get behind Carm and move forward.

I suspect I am one of the few recent grads ('13) of Siena on this board, and my friends and I all feel as swindled as everyone else on here. However, what else can you do but get behind Carm and hope we make the best of this? While it may seem a bit chaotic right now, at least we can feel comfortable knowing we have someone that truly cares about the school in charge. We saw JC's true colors through this, but projecting a failed marriage or nonsense like that on him based on this decision makes us no better than him. Take the high road and look forward.

My bet is that this wasn't a career move so much as a family move. Career-wise Siena has had arguably as much or more success than GW over the years - conference aside. My bet is that his wife missed the DC area and was unhappy in upstate NY. I think that's what drove the decision.

Ok MTS I'll be the voice of wisdom for you.So the GW job was already on his radar.Especially the situation the former coach was in.This was before he left the Mount and when he got to Siena. The GW game pretty much put his name or more less impressed the AD there.First Siena coming in with all there defections and low expectations.Coming in and winning a game from a A10 team. From there they monitored Siena's season and how impressive a job he did.Plus he'd been lobbying for the job back channels.Known that's what i heard even before he got to Siena job.Once the job opened and the success he had this year.Let the lobbying began even harder.Sorry MTS but that's why these guys have agents. They do the behind the scene stuff we don't see. What they call that the dirty work.MTS college basketball is a business. And will always be never believe a thing a coach says.JMO

Run it as such. Was it right for JC to pull the plug, not IMO but I am not in his shoes. Also as stated in another post, Tony has specified tha admin and JC were having challenges. School needs to figure out the direction of program, hopefully Carm will work out.

I just don't think that would have happened. I don't believe he came to Siena, a HUGE unknown from a talent going forward perspective, with a one year horizon viewpoint. He got to Loudonville and the stars were in perfect alignment for what did happen. He found underutilized, hidden talent that the previous HC didn't recognize or want to work to develop. He struck gold with Jalen and his immediate positive impact on the new team's chemistry. He found a bunch of hungry kids that wanted to redeem themselves on the court and quickly bought into his coaching regimen. He then took a previous 8-24 team, early on to GW and beat them on their own court - that gets noticed BIG TIME! GW wanted to make a change and, bingo - we come up the apparent loser (or maybe not so much - time will tell). I also recognize coach speak when he indicated that GW was a dream job - makes sense to say that when the team is close to where you came from especially following a very short junket in upstate NY.
Stay positive - the future, today anyway, looks bright and I have no reason to doubt Carm's ability going forward.

Perfectly stated! Sucks for us we are owed Big time from the basketball gods but maybe just maybe we have paid our dues as well!

Plus, when Carm continues Siena’s success, he may stick around longer than other HC might. This would be great especially if he’s as successful as say Paul and Fran were at getting us back to a winning program. Edit: notice I used “when” and not “if”.

We lost JC the minute that new AD got her job at GW. JC helped by doing a great job. If he won 10 games, he’d still be here.
