My issues with Brown are not coaching related. He has done really well at Albany despite the cloud the program was under when he started post Beeten. That said, I don't want him to be at Siena ... it would just be wrong. OK I'll bit why the comment "it would just be wrong". I don't favor Willie but he's won at a solid level and doesn't appear to have any off the court issues.

Don't want to see him in Green and Gold any more than I would want to see Cluess.

IF Brown was ever named coach, you can pretty much kiss the rivalry game goodbye..............can't tell me that their wouldn't be some hard feelings from the UA side of things, and honestly who could blame them..................... I'm not sure about that. The new coach wouldn't have a personal grudge, of course his present AD would actually want to kick his butt. I'm sure UA students for the first few years would be pumped up to kick Brown's behind. I think the only one that wouldn't like continuing the game would be Brown because of the players on the present UA roster.

Don’t think so, I think it would be game on, but I wonder if Willie would change his position on playing the game at the Sefcu?

I think willie would lose the game to ualbany and every other game Siena plays on purpose. I mean seriously mark singelais switched and he can still barely contain his disdain for Siena. Luscious Jordan flamed out too.

Can you imagine hiring a search firm and then hiring the guy next door? I can’t.
Call Patrick Beilein, don’t be cheap. Get it done.

I get people may not like hiring Brown because of the UA connection etc... but you have to acknowledge he’s a solid coach recruiter and he wins.

Nobody is “officially” saying anything. I have to believe Beilein is still in play until I hear officially and otherwise

There must be trust between Siena and the new coach. Rule #1: Keep your mouth shut! 😉

What new coach? It’s evident that the college needs to make an announcement before the ink is dry on the contract. Perception in the community is that they really have poor management style.
Back to the JP fiasco. Everyone knew that followed the team JP was a dead man walking in late February. A stealth search should have been underway than. Challenge for the school was, is the leaks, rather selectedly released or released without permission. No excuse for the the search no started earlier.
We can speculate on the new coach, yeah it’s fun as sports fans, some of the candidates are out of left field. Hopefully this ends sooner than later. Of course maybe the school wants to drag it out to have all the kids ask for releases. Open up ton of ships.

Fire D'arg at least interview Tobin Anderson if he is interested. We need
a calming steady guy at the helm.

Not a WB fan. Do no enjoy watching his team play or the style of offense that he runs. Also do not think his personality is a good match for Siena College. There are better candidates out there. Hope the program goes in a different direction.

Hope the program goes in a different direction. I could care less about style. People are so picky here. A coach at Siena must beat Albany, beat UVM, beat the Bonnies, win all home games, get BCS teams to the TUC, win the MAAC, win the MAAC tourney, go to the sweet sixteen and then to the A-10...but he has to do it with players who stay all 4 years, while playing a certain style, talking a certain way, letting certain people see his practices, not be associated to UA, and be likeable to various people. If there's one word to describe Siena nation: It's NEEDY. This is perhaps what is bothering me the most about this team. This extreme neediness combined with podunk administrative beaurocracy makes Siena a complete joke.
