@marksingelais 54m54 minutes ago More Jimmy Patsos addressing Siena's scholarship situation with no seniors: "To say you don't have another scholarship right now in April would be naive. Nobody's head is in the guillotine, but it's the nature of the business. The average turnover is three to four players a year." According to the NCAA the transfer rate for mens basketball is 15% if I'm reading this link right. Can someone check me on this? Thanks www.ncaa.org/about/resources/research/transfer-rate-averages-and-trendsIf this is correct Jimmy's double that!

MAAC Transfers by team last 4 years (not including so far this season):Niagara = 17 FF = 14 Quinnipiac = 13 Iona = 10 Siena = 10 St. Peters = 10 Manhattan = 10 Canisius = 8 Rider = 7 Marist = 6 Monmouth = 6 This is based off of verbal commits and it's pretty accurate I think. Based on this, over the last 4 years, MAAC teams have averaged 2.5 transfers per year. Maybe that's more directly relevant.

When I looked at the list, I remembered all the players. I had to go year by year and add them up. Casey's 1st few classes all bolted in near entirety. Remember JAM left him with tons of scholarships to fill in the late period his 1st year when Green, Tanksley, and Robinson all left for Hofstra. Instead of doing what Dunleavy has done and backfill with Juco's his 1st year...he filled with low quality recruits. They all sucked and kept transferring. Last 2 years are Casey's only 2 years of having any remote semblance of stability.

Here’s a summary I posted of transfers before: 2013/14 Wright Long White Wolfe Cole Lost 3 of 5 or 60% of this recruiting class 2014/15 Brandwijk Gottfried Paige Lost 3 of 3 or 100% of this recruiting class 2015/16 Wormley LaRose Nico Fisher Smithen Degnan Lost 3 of 6 or 50% of this recruiting class. Possibly 5 of 6 when it’s all said and done. 2016/17 Transfers TBD

Ok, so theses kids are transferring at whatever rate to me is inconsequential. The caliber of player replacing them should be better, no? Yet here we are tied for last place.

It's funny, if you go to the Verbal Commits page, hands down the best source of informations on this subject, Siena has 7 kids that left early from this current 4 year period (Senior-Freshman) and UAlbany has 11. Not a peep on that program and how they "do things?"

Bring in several JC's that dont cut it, but after so many swings, you're bound to find a jewel once in awhile. Got it.

When their opinion gets blown up, no one. Facts have a way of doing that. ps--stay on the subject matter (transfers) I know the haters love to "move on" when proven wrong.
