I’ll reserve comment until this recruiting class shakes out. However because I got pulled into this thread, I will say this after going back and reading the entire A/B recruiting conversation over the 2 threads...it sounds like a certain someone has the excuse engine stoked and ready to fire.... we will see. BTW I’d love to see Welch Timberlake Zachery it’s what we need but given Patsos history what we need and what we get tends to differ wildly. I'm not entirely sure that Zachery is in the "A" group these days. Even though he's had a flirtatious relationship with high rankings and high offers in the past, I think there may be some issues there. And the kid is ranked just 70 on NERR. Timberlake, for example, is 30th...(and NERR asterisks that by saying that very few players if any, in reality, actually played better than him). Zachery seems to be either underperforming to some extent...or maybe has some kind of grade and/or other issues. I'm not sure he's still in the discussion. I think Timberlake is the biggest prize. Welch close 2nd. And after that there are solid priorities but not necessarily 'prizes'.

It's a dilemma every coach goes thru. We re in top 3 with 2 A-10 teams for a kid. So you shouldn't recruit anyone else at that position? Of course you should. We re the underdog of the 3. Hey, sometimes "B" turns out to better than "A." It's not a perfect science. So while your 2nd kid might wasn't to jump on an offer, you owe it to the program to let the "A" know it's now, or we move on. Can't tell you how many times I've heard about "A" guys waiting too long and not getting any of their choices, so some newcomer sneaks in and gets lucky with a quality recruit. Either way, we need a great class, whether it's our first choice or second choice. I'm just happy we re involved with some talented, long and athletic kids. Time to seal the deal.

So historically Patsos hasn’t underperformed recruiting? Problem has been Patsos isnt inking his A or B targets, he’s usually taking the easy route around and ends up with option C/D. Then he’s off to vacation land. Just calling it as I see it ... look I hope he pulls a rabbit or two out his a$$ because if he doesn’t......

Without knowing him personally and if it wouldn't cause a problem internally, I'd consider naming Timberlake the team captain before he even signed.
That's about where I'm at.
I think Siena could get by and even find some measure of success with everyone else. I just have a feeling about this kid being potential POY type talent. Could maybe be Siena's answer to Isaiah Reese. Maybe he'll never be that good or would be a slightly different type player but he would seem to have the potential skillset.
A guy who could potentially dominate the ball, score, facilitate, rebound at a high level, and defend...all out of the SG position.
The kid averaged like 6 or 7 rebounds and like 3 apg...and gets a fair amount of blocks since he's so 'jumpy'. And many of the game stories I saw hinted also at shooting efficiency.. Tough to tell without the full stats but I'd say we're talking about a guy who'd have a 45% FG% out of the guard position with high volume.
