Tell them to stop lol I answered and you can't compare Penn's season stats to Richard. Richard has been playing out of position all season. Put Penn at the 2 and see how he does. Richard got his opportunity to run the show and he did fine. We never would have seen it for that much of a game if Penn had not been hurt. So yes it needed to be pointed out 7 wins. Nothing is fine. None of these kids belong at this level. I havent seen anyone out side of maybe Wright that belonged at this level since Patsos got here. Pathetic basketball. The results speak for themselves. This is insanity. 4 other players from the Patsos era are currently playing professionally (Long, Bisping, Ogunyemi, Oliver) and Nico Clareth is without a doubt a pro talent (why is Oklahoma State recruiting him now if he doesn't belong at the MAAC level?). Penn can play MAAC basketball, Horn can play MAAC basketball, Richard can play a bench role in the MAAC, Prince can play MAAC basketball especially as he develops. There have without a doubt been recruiting mistakes and this is without a doubt not that talented a roster. But cut the bullsh*t and stop crapping on the kids in a manner that is completely untrue and unnecessary. We aren't Syracuse.

I really don't know how talented these guys are or are not - they are playing in an archaic scheme (the flex) and there's not enough depth. My guess is they're mostly D1 players but rather complementary players not superstars you're going to win championships with.

Most important word( scheme )flex old.Don't need superstars need players put in the right( scheme.)There's a right scheme for this team, but if you take a look. The smallest thing tells you a lot about something.I'll repeat we don't have( BLOB)play/plays.It may seem simple to some buy it tells a lot about the big picture. When a coach constantly talks about the little things to win.I do believe that's a little thing that still hasn't been taken care of.Little things become bigger things when not taken care of.

Dumbest thing that guys ever said, and he thought Wincowski was a D-1 kid. "This level" is hysterical. Its the MAAC. Mid-major basketball. "One player belongs at this level since Patsos got here?" lmao Cole was a star in his league and led them to a NCAA bid. Kinnon starts at his new school. Wormley started some for his new school. (i wont mention the guys GS already did). Is there an abundance of talent? Absolutely not, and its gotten worse each year, thats why we are where we are.

JO Bisping & Oliver have nothing to do with Rex they’re Mitch’s guys. Rex ran Nico off, he’s gone, he counts for nothing. Technically Wright and Long were Loyola recruits not Siena. Others with potential; Cole, Wormley...gone / run-off. Rex has had 4+ recruiting classes and has lost/run-off approx 70% of the first 3 classes. Stay tuned I’m sure there are more to follow. Horn is a role type MAAC player, ok on the offensive side, very pedestrian defender. Penn is an ok pg and serviceable but he’s not Ronald Moore. Prince is ok but needs development like any frosh big. Richard is ok but wild and plays out of control far to often for my liking. Let’s cut to the chase we have a few mediocre players who are essentially role guys on any MAAC team that would compete for a title. The rest are low mid to D2 caliber. We’ve been watching so much bad to basketball over the past 8 years most have forgotten what a solid mid looks like ..... Recruiting, player retention and treatment under Rex is nothing short of abysmal to imply otherwise is comical.

Ogunyemi stayed close to family following Buonaguro firing. There are a lot of kids playing "pro ball" from low D1/D2 programs as well... dont be stupid. not one single thing i said is untrue.... i dont know how long youve been around this program but those who have been around for decades know that this team completely fails the eye test. I wouldnt play in the NEC with this roster. So how about you cut the bullshit. Not one single player youve named would ever play on a MAAC championship team nor a team that would even be in true competition for the title. And regarding Clareth... he has physical skills but hes a friggin head case and make no mistake... the programs that saw him down in baltimore while recruiting sniffed that crap out... except Patsos. That being said... its going to be very hard to take anything you say seriously regarding recruiting and or talent going forward. WOW.

That being said... its going to be very hard to take anything you say seriously regarding recruiting and or talent going forward. WOW. You said who has played here since JP got here first and foremost, so that’s why those guys were included. And if you are good enough to get to pro basketball, you were likely good enough to play in the damn MAAC. You also were referring to talent in your post; so Nico applies too. There’s a real diifference from being able to play in the MAAC and play on the best teams the MAAC has ever seen. Don’t play the garbage “I’ve been around the program too long” card because I know what talent looks like and I watch way too much basketball in the MAAC to know. If what you are saying is accurate than 8 MAAC teams a year have less than 3 players who are MAAC talent on their roster. Makes sense. i never said this team was overly talented. In fact i think I listed 4 or 5 guys on this team that were MAAC talent. But you EXTREMELY overestimate MAAC talent in order to push your narrative and spin your words after the fact to make your post seem less idiotic.

Saintsfan is a bit over the top but not by as much as we'd like.
It is unfair to judge players based solely on their freshmen years, so the jury is still out on some of these players.
With that said, yes, Siena currently lacks the star power that would likely be necessary to even contend for a title in the NEC. If this team was all seniors, it might be better, but by how much? Who knows. Probably not by as much as we'd want.
It is tough to separate the 'Patsos affect' completely from the talent level.
Saintsfan should also know better to bring out the 'been around' card. After his frosh year, Brett Bisping was completely written off by the same people....and JO had a horrible frosh year. Whose to say that someone like Penn and Horn then becomes an all-maac upperclassman as well? Players often look worse than they are in a failing system...especially as frosh.

At the St. Petersburg YMCA for a spin class this am and a guy sees my Siena bag - turns out he's a UA grad from Guilderland and knows Art Leo - and wondered if the Coach's Club was still going strong. Small world - told him the hoop program had gotten so bad, I'd given up and opted for St. Pete's Beach for the month of February. His only comment was "What the hell is Siena thinking..." - funny

Be sure all body parts have been extracted from others orifices on your way out the door.

Yup, one big sniffer group in one room. Good times. Yes, we were - Mike earned it and we loved it...Mike knew the value of a solid fan base and grew the Club almost exponentially...he got the kids to play hard and, OBTW, they won and OBTW, almost all of them graduated....
