By 'done it' you mean win a title. There may be a difference in the standards of success between the fanbase and the administration. Top 5's probably hold quite a bit of weight. Siena has 3 top 5s in 5 years under Jimmy. It will come down to $$$ and this recruiting class...and I think next year is when the decision is made and not this year. MTS can cry all he wants but the administration doesn't give a flying fig what he says. They'll only listen to $$$'s. KK, I can only add this..........when Fran came aboard, and I have this on very good word, that it was expressed to him that the expectations is that they would be in the Top 4 of the league every yr, which means vying for the league Championship as well...........now, whether they slipped 1 spot to Top 5 is questionable at best, but I would not believe that to be the case............it translates that being in 4th is a team MORE likely to get to the semi-finals on Sunday of the tournament, 5th while not that far from 4th, in most cases doesn't get you in that spot..............take that for what its' worth............... I think it's worth a million dollars. I'll trade it back to you for cash.

Sounding like MTS here, but in some ways the damage has been done. Good crowd against Manhattan but otherwise the crowds have been pathetic this season. The team plays a terrible brand of basketball, doesn’t win, and has a coach that no fan really likes or believes in to bring Siena MAAC titles. Money is obviously a tough thing to swallow, but I don’t think it would be our athletic department paying the majority of the buyout. Boosters could and should (and probably will) step up to the plate for much of that. Program needs a hard reset and even a .500 year next year with low expectations probably doesn’t create any excitement in this town. If we had a new coach and were picked 10th, then came in 5th, then there’s a vision and something to build for. The damage is completely done... taking a break now... I'll be back in early March to see if Siena really wants to be a competitive mid-major program.

The starting point guard has missed the past two contests due to a stress injury that involves a cyst in his heel. With him out for the season following surgery, the likes of Kenny Wormley, Ryan Oliver and Kinnon LaRose may see expanded roles. This was written on a site that obviously doesn't follow mid-majors closely.......too bad that Wormley and LaRose were RUN OFF... but hey let's give the idiot a pass for injuries. Pathetic! . If those three get injured look for William Brandi wick Patrick cole and Maurice white to step up.

Far too long. I am thinking 2020-2021 because of the buyout number. By that time the TUC will decide not to renew and the team will be playing back at the ARC. Does anyone know for sure when Patsos' current contract expires? . The current contract expires 2021. There are those that believe that the final year is not guaranteed but no one can or will provide proof. Either way that’s still at least two years after this season when Siena’s only ever bought out one season.

How does it make sense to give anyone a four year contract to start, a one year extension after season 1 and a FIVE year extension after season 3, the only winning regular season the coach had in his first three?
Answer: It makes little to no sense.
How much sense does it make to do what is outlined on the first question after having three years to observe Jimmy Patsos?
Answer: It makes absolutely no sense.

Roman Penn is officially out for the season. Don’t think we win a game the rest of the way. This is the final excuse to just wash this season, JP gets one more chance next year. With Darg running Nico off and this injury no way does he get fired. You're serious? D'Arg ran him off? Who ran the other juniors and ALL the seniors off? The Marketing professors or the lady who used to tag my meal card in Serra Hall?

Just trying to understand the term, "Run off," from your guys stand point. So you're saying that every kid that decided to move on to another school was, "run off" by the staff? No other reason?
That seems logical

Nah they all moved on because they had NBA aspirations. Jumbo’s on pace to lose over 70% of his first three recruiting classes with more to follow from year four’s class. That’s totally logical? ?

Rex is innocent and a grossly misunderstood guy. 🤥

No one said he wasnt at fault for some, or even most of the defections. But to constantly blame him for every kid that leaves is idiotic. I think it would be wise to give him his $800K and both parties move on. New coach means at least 5 new season ticket holders will come back, and one more that never went to game, and still wont, after a change. Thats a start. Either way the apathy on this board has become unbearable. I see no reason why any recruit would ever come here if they had access to this site. JP has ruined it, and the "fans" are trying their best to kill it altogether.

Do you actually think the coach would throw his best player off of the team? If he doesn't know how to handle his star player, (Early season: "I want him to shoot 25 times a game." Mid-season: "I wish Nico wouldn't shoot so much.") and Nico was not happy, then I think they came to an agreement. Why would the AD throw the best player off without consultation from the coach who is responsible for the performance of the team, thus his own career and possibly the AD's?
