By the end of regulation, all I could think was wow, do I feel horrible for these guys. They were playing hard and with lots of heart but the offense is non-existent. By the end of regulation, there were 0 fast break points. I also don't recall 1 shot being taken, let alone made, off a set screen. Every trip down required a 1-1 play with the shot clock somewhere between 0 and 9 seconds. I don't care who we recruit - put Eddy, Franklin and Moore out there and this team would still be sub .500.
I did hear that D'Arg is retiring. At least that's a bit of good news. Let's hope they don't just go and promote the SID (no offense as I don't know who that is but just hoping they get someone with experience).

Interesting stuff in So-so's post game presser - It's no longer "all about the MAAC" - only focus is next game - don't talk about March - So-so doesn't like the crowd counting down the shot clock starting at 7 - would prefer letting them know at 5!!! - personally, I think the crowd should start counting at 30 - team heard the boo birds and like that (perhaps that is due to their silent wish for So-so to change his nickname to Bye-bye - I'll second that).

15 buckets total in game that went 3 OT’s How many shot clock violations does Jimbo need to see before he realizes he needs to start looking to the hoop earlier in the clock? ? This is just flat out poor coaching. Just an unwatchable game.

Saddened to hear that there were boo-birds. Not that I wouldn't confront JP and the suits, but the kids don't deserve that. They are only trying their best to execute this fustercluck of a plan.

I disagree, nobody wants to shoot. They are afraid to fail. I've never seen so many guys pass on wide open shots and then try and drive and get rejected or force an awkward shot. If you want to blame the coach for poor shooting and missed FTs and not hold the players responsible for what we saw tonight that's just wrong.

LMAO Hate to tell ya Pap it’s by design. Rex quote in TU today: “We’re learning a new offense. We’re learning to be patient, milking the shot clock”

In the presser So-so let his directive on who shoots and when out when he slipped commenting on Thomas' made 3 ptr that was early in the shot clock - said he was ok with that one....kids are stymied by the idiotic insistence on having the ball touched in the post before looking for OR shooting - blaming the players is flat out ignorance of what is going on at best - papi has tunnel vision blinders on like the nags he invests and loses on...

Because the guy in the Mark Thomas (wet)suit wants them passing and dribbling until the shot clock hits 5 seconds. Are you going to shoot and risk needing an umbrella in the next huddle when he spews his ballistic linguistics at you? How is it that these kids knew how to make baskets before they got here. And don't even try to tell me that the overall defense in this league is so much better than the caliber they faced in high school and AAU. Again, they are running with claimers- not stakes horses. Please. Open your eyes. If anyone things 5065 (holographic) people will continue to spend their entertainment dollars to watch this they are really delusional.

Not sure what you all were watching, but I saw a thing of beauty. The Saints won.
Sure, the offense was a bit difficult to watch but the defense was solid, they dominated on the boards and played hard/fought tough the entire game.
I am not sure what you all expected ... Siena seldom has played well against John Dunne coached teams. His defensive style uglies the game up. This is a game where they really missed Richard, a guy who can create for himself and hit shots.
In a season where wins are hard to come by, especially while missing two of the (current) teams better scorers, any win is a good one.

Yeah, beautiful. It was one of the most painful games I have watched since the four overtime Youngstown cluster with Tay Fisher, McClinton and Scoop Jordan(which I personally attended in a snowstorm and ended up being treated for pneumonia after on the way home). These kids are lost. They don't know what to do without looking to the bench for direction EVERY UP AND DOWN. How the hell do you agree to sign off on scholarships for players and not TRUST them. MY HEART BLED when I saw Thomas go over to the bench awaiting direction on a FREE THROW. Really? ? What the hell direction was necessary? And yet he did that TWICE. SMH. Siena seldom plays well against John Dunne, Becker, Will Brown, Tim Cluess and soon to be added to the list....Baker Dunleavy. Maybe the MAAC can re-adjust into two divisions, leaving the coaches we can't beat in the "A" division and those we are on par with in the "B" division.

I saw some frustrated players and it wasn't with there teammates.I saw kids who didn't believe in what they were running offensively by mistakes of frustration.I saw these players fight like hell to win a game with a flawed and honestly terrible offensive game plan. That's what i saw always happy for the win.But it is what it is.We'll see in March/April.

I said before the game that rebounding was their most likely path to victory. They got it done there. One thing Siena's guards do well is rebound.
