So Wright's entire Siena legacy is ruined by the post of some random guy on some random website based on some supposed and obviously incomplete quote...that may have not even been in correct context. Without knowing any other information, I have a hard time believing a kid who averaged over 5 apg his entire career as being selfish on the floor. The fact is he was more concerned about his stats than wins. The article backs it up. I saw it for 4 years. He passed for asst and did not like being moved to tbe 2 because it limited his shots. Having the ball in his hands with the green light to shoot whenever he wanted is what he had for 4 years. If we won a game and he did not play well he was visibly upset and so was his camp. If we lost but he played well all was good for him.

Stats are more important than wins PPC. Know your audience.

Regardless of what side you're on, at the end of the day, it's on the players to execute and make plays. Make shots. Get rebounds, and so forth. Sure the coach can help them make those responsibilities easier, but the JP haters just ignore watching seniors turn the ball over in crunch time, or miss open shots to win games. Then to further the lynching, the idiotic logic is, "well he recruited them!" Smh Every player did not get the same opportunity to prove themselves. That is life in DI ball. But the one player that got everything is complaining. The coach decides who plays, where they play, and how long they play. So it is on him.

Good point about being allowed ( or not) to play through mistakes. With this young team that seems both essential and fundamental. Jimmy has to change that aspect of his coaching or it will be a long season.

What's the excuse gonna be this year?
Players not carrying out or able to execute the genius's game plan?
Patsos is out coached so often it's not funny, Becker and Willie Wooden own him....
Sorry not buying the player blame game. I bet if Becker coached that same Siena group last year the record's better than 5👀!

Total dick move by Wright. It makes him look bad. We now know where the chemistry issue came from and sienna. Really? I already knew all of this but if I mentioned it here they say I have something against the kid. He just told the world that he played for himself. So case closed U do have something against him because he can ball and was well respected and like threw the MAAC conf. As well as good HS rep in DMV area. It was always jealousy there on your part from day 1.

Jimmy has to change that aspect of his coaching or it will be a long season. This is a big part of player development and everyone on the team does not get the same opportunity to grow. Thats why I tell recruits to go where you are loved. Go where you are wanted for what you have and hope that you are given the chance to earn the time.

I was always told kids love playing for patsos. And yet here we have one of the top 20 players rip him as he walks out the door. When's the last time that happened at Siena, and it just happens to occur under patsos? Regardless of whether or not he should have said it I'm sure this will be a nice recruiting tool for opposing coaches. And still there is enough spin on here to make one dizzy. When is enough enough.

Patsos allows alot of freedom for his players. For some its too much IMOP. I am more strict and would have preferred more accountability. My son had a problem being on time or waiting till the last min to do stuff. He had to improve in that area on his own. He stuggled with it and it cost him and the team on a few occasions. Too many warnings rather than corrective action from day one. But that is one of the reasons his players love to play for him.
