It was obvious during recruiting that Richard was a point guard. Thats why he signed. He should have gotten spot mins at the 1 with Wright on the bench. Playing them at the same time with Richard off the ball and Wright taking the most shots was not a winning formula Richard had his best game vs St Peters when Wright was suspended.
Obvious to you perhaps, but not to the staff or the Baltimore Sun. Perhaps Slim can comment.
I see things have changed and Richard must earn his mins at the 2 now. He was recruited by the staff to play the point. Slim has nothing to do with Richard and his camp. Its a fact that Richard was brought in as a pg. He would not have signed with Siena if they recruited him to play the 2.

Who else was recruiting Richard do you know what schools he was deciding upon He missed his senior year. He had other options. He chose Siena because they recruited him to play the point. Do you think Penn would have signed to play the 2?

No i don't think Penn would have signed to play the 2 because he was a pg playing the pg position in post grad he didn't have to learn to play the position he played the pg in aau high school he lead his high school team as a sophomore junior and senior in asst even thou he didn't play the position primarily. The pg position is a hard and demanding position it's not a overnight thing you can learn.Maybe Richard overestimated that he could learn the position in one year and it doesn't happen like that.I think he was a 2guard in a pg body and if you said you coached you should have seen that yourself and not advised him to go play the pg.Just my opinion

He was trained and developed to play the point. He is not a 2g he is a point guard. Things changed for him after signing. Lets hope the same does not happen to your guy

Penn is not my guy but i doubt they'll ask him to move to the 2 if so i would think that he probably grew a couple inches and was 6"3 or taller then he should think about it.

I only know what Kadeem said to me after he got here. I was not involved in his recruitment. I just met him and his family at Siena. He played the point last year so I guess thats what he came to Siena to do. He ha some size so probably did not mind playing the 2 as well. But that is just my guess. I do not have inside info on him.

Sorry your Baltimore guy got beat out, so did Kadeem obviously, but thats the sports world. Let it go.

That is life in DI ball.
