Will Brown noticed. It made his day. I doubt many coaches would put up with the sienahoops rhetoric. And that includes Fran McCaffery! Hey, that doesn't count. Fran hates everything. He hates fans, refs, coaches, players, clipboards, chairs, tables, mascots, kids who can't read good... I mean he's really a bad example don't you think?

First he needs to stop biting the hands that feed his inflated salary. Results. Period. "Inflated salary?" $300k is inflated for the best program in the MAAC? Better check out FF and Quinnys HC's salaries. Even a minimum wage worker can have an inflated salary if he/she is incompetent at their job. So yeah, Patsos has an inflated salary in my book!

It's not one thing with Jimmy.
Moans and groans about disadvantages he says he has at Siena while ignoring the many advantages he does have. Never lands top talent. Doesn't try to land top midmajor kids and falls badly (Lamb) when he tries. Points the finger at everyone but himself. Name drops to boost his own massive ego. Picks fights with loyal Siena fans.
Brings up irrelevant things like Maryland's national title from 15 years ago which has nothing to do with the Siena program. Does TV and vacations all around the world while Siena loses another key recruit to Vermont. Can't beat UAlbany, Vermont and very seldomly beats the top MAAC teams. Has no discipline on the bench and rubs off on the assistant coaches and players. Lowers expectations always and can't handle pressure. Should I go on?

This board has 734 members. It is like a 10% sample size of the average attendance.

Yet, some of the individuals with " bad reputations" on this board went after Fran's wife back in the day. They just don't care what they post or who they go after! Hopefully ..some ex. players come forward! And tell people to knock off the rhetoric! Enough is enough!

Sorry but any position that puts you out there as a 'prominent face' in any community comes with a cost. Add in that that this job comes with a very loyal fan base that is passionate about their college, and legacy of their premier basketball program it isn't like you don't know coming in you are somewhat of a 'local celebrity'. He hardly pisses and moans when he is being treated by high rollers in country clubs and at 677 Prime. Give me a break. When is the last time someone from the BOT played a round of golf at an elite CC with a biology professor? Sorry but we aren't buying the horse shit anymore. We have had plenty. Put up or shut up. You are what your record says you are and our record over the last 5 years is pretty poor value on 300K plus perks annual investment. Ex players coming forward would be interesting....and it's hardly rhetoric when posters in this thread have clearly stated facts backed by statistics. Fran's wife was an advocate for her husband and his players. Not a side show at the vodka bar.

I see that coach Pastos said he has a open door policy so i suggest the people who post should go in there and talk to him especially the ones with some of the post i think are inappropriate and offensive and how about you take your kid if you have one and let them see how you talk to someone you disagree with would be a good life lesson. Not trying to judge cause it's not mine to do just a suggestion and opinion.Open door policy tell me how that goes.

Maybe if Jimmy spent more time focusing on his JOB and less time on "Message Board fans", we'd all be better off.
That said, it's not Jimmy's fault. Siena's admin and AD have watched the program slide down farther and farther for the better part of a decade...

I know you are kind of new around here and I appreciate your political correctness. Trust me, I have had conversations (or attempted to) with him and D'arg (as many of us had). I don't post anything here that I would not say to him face to face if he would give me (as I am not a BOT or high $$ donor to the program) a moment of undistracted eye contact. And...for the record....,I had many conversations with several of our former coaches where we agreed to disagree. I'll tell you the only one who pissed me off over the brink was Lanier when he car-napped Prosper and was convinced he would turn him into a vocal leader at 3 am in the morning. Our families have become close friends in spite of that one.

Read between the lines: Jimmy is feeling the heat ... no words or silver tongue is going to put out the fire ... expectations are out there for him to deliver this season IMO

I agree the thing about coaches is they all have y things we disagree about but the name calling in something we should be above on a post. Some of the top coaches that people hold in high regard are some of the most foul mouthed and not good people but they win and get a past i and this i know personally from kids who's played for them and in person. No one is perfect but i think coach Pastos is still a person with a wife and family coaching wise and record and recruiting we can agree or disagree with him but personal stuff I'll pass Go Saints

Does anyone honestly believe that the Siena head job is not, far and away, the most difficult one in the MAAC? The past success, the fanbase, the collateral requirements etc....Think Dunne has to do the same things at St Peters as any of our head coaches have done here? I'd like to see a top 5 hardest HC jobs, in order.....no excuses, just think we re the Yankees of the MAAC.
