Great game. Had the pleasure of sitting next to Mr. Siena and Indiansaint Mom for the weekend. Solid Siena fanatics.
Great game by the players and the coaching staff. Now let's dispatch with Iona in the final and dance. Go Saints.

What was the attendance for the game. Why mention it so someone can dispute it?

Make 3s and FTs and don't turnover the ball 64 is a possibility. That was almost a perfect 20 minutes of basketball. I hope Monmouth gets to Dayton for that 12 seed play in game. They ran into a perfect storm in a true road game to end a 17 game winning streak. 55 wins over two years should mean something. It won't.

I've had season tickets since 1990. Maybe it's because it's fresh. But I'm having a tough time coming up with a game to match this one that I've seen in person. A little girl behind me with her father was attending her first Siena game. That was priceless. I agree that Willis Reed now has competition. Siena is 0-8 vs Iona in MAAC tournament history. My motto this morning was not Yes We Can. It was Yes We Will. And they Did. Pete Iorizzo said it well this morning. There's nothing conventional about this team. What better scenario is there for a 1-8 record vs Iona by late Monday nite. Just had to get all session for these seniors. A beautiful sight after the game was the long line in the concourse at the aux box office. Siena students showed up tonite, they deserve praise. This was an epic player and team performance that will be remembered and talked about forever. It's one thing to be down by 17. But to recover and then defeat a 17 game streak team poised to dance? It just doesn't get better. Or does it?

Greatest, and gutsiest performance Ive ever seen in a game. I was mad about Jimmy putting a kid that hurt in the game when it looked bleak. I thought he was putting his job in front of the kids health. What Nico did was unreal, and I'm happier than anyone we win the game, but not at the expense of hurting a kid even more. After seen how poorly he moved in the first half (Jimmy made 5 or 6 guard subs after that-no Nico) it made sense to hold him out. I wanna win as bad the next guy. But not at any cost. I don't disagree with any of what you say here. Like I had just posted, not trying to be critical. I was just reading through the posts chronologically and this one made me literally laugh out loud. It's really funny to read through the arc of the emotions during a game with this unlikely plot line. Did anyone else notice on Nico's turnaround two pointer his right foot never even touched the ground? Insane shot. He played an insane game. That turnaround fade-away was amazing. And a HUGE shot at a critical time.

Down 14 at the half....this game is over. Tony called it 100% right. Please do not go to the CBI end this season at 16-17. I really hope Siena and Patsos can work something out. I 100% guarantee next year will be a blood bath with the lack of talent. Why not start the REAL rebuilding now? I'm sick of watching teams like Iona and Monmouth and feel like we're playing against high-majors teams. Lack of talent...turnovers, no discipline - I can't take another season of this shit. Well leave ! Sooner the better former "staunch supporter" ( in your own words).

I won't be back until Patsos is fired. Best of luck to graduating seniors. Nobody who is a fan will miss you.

Wow. What an effort. I'm stunned. What a class act King Rice is. Waited on the court until nico was done with his interview with ESPN to congratulate him and offer words of encouragement. Really nice to see. Tremendous respect for King Rice's actions after the game. At a time when he had to be absolutely heartsick and disappointed beyond words, he took his time with each Saint going through the handshake line, and embraced several of them. Then, as mentioned, he literally waited for Nico to finish his interview, when he could just as easily have gone to his locker room to be with his team, and no one would have said a word about it. A truly classy, selfless act of a gentleman. agreed on this for sure............and then Wright embracing Robinson for what seemed like 5+ minutes after most of the players had left the floor, hugging, likely telling him how great a player he is and what a pleasure is to play against him over these past 4 yrs.........a lot of mutual respect flowing without a doubt, all well deserved...........
