I'm still shocked. He couldn't move. They just kept...going...in. And then Monmouth...they got sloppy. I ..have..no words. and this game is exactly why stats are for losers. Clareth was the catalyst for sure, but Wright with 8 assists and 10 points in the second half was huge as well. And JO finally played strong for the most part. Perfect example of what momentum and chemistry can do for a team. So you say stats are for losers and then quote some. Clareth was 8 of 10 in the 2nd half. That stat is for winners.

Throw in a calm coach, some real coaching and a bench that's been getting more stress free PT and you've got the formula for more W's than L's. Whatever or whomever communicated to JP following the Canisius game - write a book, whatever message you delivered seems to have had mega benefits - one only hopes it was recognized and adopted for the future, both short and long term - it's a different "Team"!

Saints controlled the tempo, controlled the boards and were able to put of 64 points in the second half despite being left for dead. Nico was the difference in the game but only because his 3 point onslaught got the team back into it and, just as importantly, the crowd. You'll note that the Saints didn't hit a whole lot of 3's late yet they were able to get and maintain the lead.

Notice he sat Long immediately after the two fouls and didn't return until the second half. Not saying that's what won the game but.....

I loved what I saw tonight and I’ve got a great feeling about Sunday. Let’s all get down to the TUC on Sunday and support these seniors that have given us so many great moments over the last four years. Go Saints I believe that we will win! I believe that we will win! Gorvy, reading your positive posts in this thread during the game just validates your long time commitment to the program and your belief in the kids regardless of whats happening on the sidelines. We don’t always agree but we root hard until the final whistle and I think that goes for virtually everybody that posts on this board. That was an incredible game- Nico put us on his back and the seniors were determined that their season wasn’t going to end tonight. Forget about ESPN tomorrow night, get your butts downtown and watch this team finish this thing off- you won’t want to miss it!

The pro-Siena crowd was as loud as I've heard them in a long time. Plus the refs couldn't continue to make that many more bad calls then they already had.

I mean god. ...yeah God. He was involved or something.

Gut check down the stretch, great game. Most fun watching a Siena game in quite some time!
Nico had a game for the ages. Herculean effort!

Wow. What an effort. I'm stunned. What a class act King Rice is. Waited on the court until nico was done with his interview with ESPN to congratulate him and offer words of encouragement. Really nice to see. Tremendous respect for King Rice's actions after the game. At a time when he had to be absolutely heartsick and disappointed beyond words, he took his time with each Saint going through the handshake line, and embraced several of them. Then, as mentioned, he literally waited for Nico to finish his interview, when he could just as easily have gone to his locker room to be with his team, and no one would have said a word about it. A truly classy, selfless act of a gentleman.

Make 3s and FTs and don't turnover the ball 64 is a possibility. That was almost a perfect 20 minutes of basketball. I hope Monmouth gets to Dayton for that 12 seed play in game. They ran into a perfect storm in a true road game to end a 17 game winning streak. 55 wins over two years should mean something. Sadly with up to 11 teams getting in from power conferences, and not making it to your conference finals seals Monmouth’s fate of the NIT for a second straight year. They had a hell of a two year run- reminded me of our Fran teams except they couldn’t finish it off.
