some interesting comments from Marquis Wright "We could still get a little closer and tighter on the court as in not worrying about what Patsos is saying, not in a bad way, but like, c an't let him affect us on the court," Wright said. "So the five of us on the court has to be together and just stick together through the whole 40 minutes." Wright said it's been hard for the Saints to develop that chemistry through several starting lineups and Patsos' frequent substitutions.www.timesunion.com/sports/article/Siena-basketball-coach-puts-ball-in-seniors-court-10830130.php

I think the pressure of this year has really got to Jimmy; he has done a horrible job. Making excuses early for the losses. Juggling starting lineup, and not developing a bench. Now in fairness to Jimmy some of the early juggling was due to 3 game suspensions from Lavon and Nico
Even Evan Fisher( who has been a frequent target of mine) the one thing Evan can do is shoot, and Jimmy has taken that away. Now I get he is shooting horrible, but it’s not that he can’t shoot, he was taking poor shots, either moving or well-guarded at 3 point line. Kahlil Richards looks like he has some potential, but Jimmy wouldn’t let him play thru any mistakes and killed his confidence. You can see all the bench players playing tight. Consequently we have no bench. Teams are collapsing on us, until he puts in some plays for ball reversal vs the zone and someone can actually hit some wide open shots, we will continue to struggle

Ouch! - so many things said and unsaid as you peel back and study that onion (referring to Quis' quotes)! Western trip could be telling - longer than normal road trip affords opportunities for bonding or further isolation. I recall a trip to Jacksonville and Bethune-Cookman during Byer's tenure and one of the freshmen chose to keep to himself during free time - kid was homesick and his teammates didn't pick him up - remember seeing him walking alone on Daytona Beach - he quit soon after that trip. Kids don't have their normal on-campus support structure, they do have a fair amount of free time albeit without classwork to help fill it (yes, some of them do their school work on the road), and they have increased up close and personal time with the HC and staff - not a good formula if there are underlying riffs to begin with. They need a win today to demonstrate the effectiveness of whatever changes came out of their come to Jesus meetings. They have to be reminded there is no I in team but U and I are together in team unity....I also hope Marquis wasn't referring to on-court "spacing" as ours sucks and making it tighter is going in the wrong direction.....th24, is this my first rant of 2017?

Tony and MP great dissertations. Thanks for the input. Maybe MW is outing to much pressure on himself, but I would like to see the kids revolt. Send the message.

Wonder if this was before or after his one on one. PROSPER? Less mutiny, more inwardly motivational. I believe he told them his time at Siena remains the best in his life and that they (the seniors)have little of that time left. They should use it wisely. I keep hoping I hear a repeat of Lanier's famous words after the Alcorn State game: "I SCREWED THESE KIDS UP ALL YEAR, AND FOR THEM TO COME OUT HERE AND DO THIS...."

Seriously he's like a CYO coach, I've never seen anything like it on this level.

Thought he threw a little cold water on Brett and the engagement as being somewhat of a distraction and maybe he didn't want to play as much - really, IMO, unnecessary and likely not productive
