It is strange that so many speculate about what "the buyout" may be while consistently disregarding the impact of the apparent sellout of the fan base by retaining a totally ineffective sub-mediocre head (and he is a head case) "coach"! Aside from HJ and Jumbo, not many folks are saying good things about our Program - all I hear is "What's wrong over there - you guys used to play good enjoyable hoop - now it's unwatchable"! I kid you not. Where did you see me say anything good about our program? Put all the quotes on this page. You got it, here they are: " ", " ", " ", ... I could go on and on but you get the picture...😂

Well for starters, you did, today, show surprise that one of our posters would not be happy with a 16 seed at the dance - obviously you would be so you must be happy with the direction the Program is headed in - I'm sure you are comfy with the 5 yr plan - keeps Jumbo and staff on the barstools - and they make you look good, in a manner of speaking - Have a great night!

I kid you not. I don't disagree... it's hard to see Siena canning Jimmy is they win say 17 or 18 games this year. Four years without a major postseason tournament would be enough for me to make a change but who knows what Siena is thinking. Every time they've fired a coach (Beyer, Lanier, Mitch) it has been an easy decision - single digit win season. I don't want to see it get that ugly again. I think we can all agree barring a minor miracle Jimmy likely will be out after the 2017-2018 season. Beyer - 3 years 22-59 Lanier - 4 years 58-70 (NCAA, NIT) Buonaguro - 3 years 35-59 Every coach that got fired at Siena did so before getting a fifth year. Of course non of those coaches had to rebuild after replacing a fired coach. All of their predecessors had left them strong to very strong programs. While Patsos took over a disaster. If Siena goes, let's say, 18-15 with no postseason this year he'll be 70-66 at 4 years at and thus tough to fire. But it probably only delays the inevitable which would be N tournament or bust in 17-18 and if he couldn't get there with this roster hard to believe he would get there next year after graduating four seniors. If this year doesn't get him next season will undoubtedly put the final nail in the Patsos coffin. Interesting enough he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that sticks around waiting to be $hit canned, maybe he jumps back to another program in the Baltimore DC area.

I must say I'm surprised a change could be made as early as this season regardless of circumstance but it goes to show you this program is about more than three days in march. The fans said as much when they didn't show up for the cbi last season. If the team wants to keep coach they better find a way to follow all the rules and start showing up for the games, even the ones not in the maac.

First of all, this is on another thread. Secondly, this was in response to his players and team being what he felt was disrespected by actions of the opposing team players. Finally...I don't think anyone here would fault JP if he were defending his player or disrespect to his program that he hadn't invited by his own actions. Note: it was resolved through a reported private conversation between both coaches who acknowledged that the moment was not handled well on either end, including rather deliberate dirty play at the end of the game. Not addressed in a long winded press conference with references to movie stars, sports legends or influential acquaintances. Hope I have explained this to you..in other words......

I stand by what I said....no one would 'bash' him for defending actions against his player or disrespect to his program that he hadn't invited by his own action.
Interesting.. you use the term 'snowflake' as does the poster gm on MAAC board- You use the term hater...could hashtags have been replaced with !!!?? I wonder would wonder if I cared.
Look, not one person who bothers to take the time to read or post here is a 'hater'. Maybe we didn't like the hire, but I firmly believe we all tried to go in with an open mind.
What should not (and I believe in the end) will not be tolerated is a deterioration of the program (higher than expected transfers in/out, recruiting 'errors' fixed, constant revolving door on coaching staff, multiple disciplinary issues) and the academic standard of the school by creation' of alternative 'majors/areas of non-marketable career degrees' or bending to the pressures of taking risks on student athletes in hopes to translate that to wins.
