I see how it might "look" like he's being run off; but that's not what's actually happening. That's only an opinion or perception. All you have to do is simply ask WB, Jimmy or the coaching staff and they'll tell you that's not the case at all. Funny - your tongue must be aching as it seems so firmly pressed against your cheek - do you really think any of the folks you mentioned would answer in any other way? OBTW, I'm not saying you are wrong in your conclusion just having some fun with the basis you used for your conclusion. MP - he is still on cloud 9 from his big thank you last night on the jumbo trim

Maybe I'm wrong BUT he seems to be running WB off. I don't mind when players transfer when it's mutual but this looks targeted. WB had a pretty good freshman year, better than some .... he's redshirted last year and now he's buried on the bench this year. Mind boggling! I see how it might "look" like he's being run off; but that's not what's actually happening. That's only an opinion or perception. All you have to do is simply ask WB, Jimmy or the coaching staff and they'll tell you that's not the case at all. IS your starting to sound like click, just walk up to one of the powers to be or in charge and they are going to give you an answer, that affects the program. Not how it works in the real world. Happy Thanksgiving all.

The way you guys are framing this, every time someone isn't getting minutes, they are being run off. Give me a break.
Coaches play the guys that they think can help them win, the guys that work hard, the guys that are receptive and responsive to coaching.
Not everyone can get real minutes. It's just part of the game. Spinning it as "running him off" is convenient for those who don't like Jimmy.
I question some of the things that Jimmy does; there are some real head scratchers now and then. The constant bitching, however, over and over and over about Jimmy this and Jimmy that is very tiring. Like having the worst nag of a spouse or a colicky baby.
Happy Thanksgiving, by the way.

We're in Year 4 of the Jimmy era. Has he showed that he can coach in-game, manage playing time well, and recruit and run an overall program above a mediocre Mid-major level?

Exactly. Unless every kid gets 25 min a night, he's "getting run off" lol
This sin't "One on One" with Robbie Benson. These kids can stay the full 4 years if they want. 95% of them want to PLAY more. OR for THEIR own reason. No coaches are telling them they have to leave now, you're not good enough.

He has three kids in the sophomore class 6-8/9 who all have similar games. He has a 6-9 freshmen who looks to be good and play inside which is what we need and the 6-8 recruit who has a good all around game. Only so much room at the Inn. Add to that the fact we have no ships for 18 at this moment and you see how it can play out. Not all three of those sophomore big guys will play and some is destined for significant bench time. If it's Degnen then Jimmy really wasted a ship . Also last night I was watching at the end of the game thinking this is the deepest all around team we may have ever had. Not the most talented but deepest. When Friday and Huertet are your last guys off the bench you have good depth. I was wondering how Jimmy will keep everyone happy and he didn't even have Nico

One on One what a movie. Still wondering why Saints don't train with the trampoline.

Might not use them because of the depth you're talking about. IF the perfect kid comes along, they'll use one, but expect them to save one.

I actually think he has recruited pretty well, with Nico being the brightest spot since he came to Siena. Marquis and Lavon are great talents that he brought in. This year's incoming class looks to be strong, in my opinion. Oduro is a good get, by most indications. There have been misses, yes. Everybody has those. I could list Fran's, if you don't remember. In game coaching and time management remain the biggest question marks. Two out of three seasons so far have been pretty good seasons, if not up to the fan base expectations and desires (myself included). That second season was full of valid reasons for a poor year. This is the year. Barring significant injury or lost time to at least TWO players, we have the talent and depth that should lead us to a tournament that starts with an "N". If Jimmy can't get us there with this group, the admin needs to take a hard look at the reasons for the failure. See? I have expectations, too!

Now that we have Horne I would think Keller might not be that much of a priority. If we grab another kid he better be able to know down some threes and be fairy athletic

I was wondering how Jimmy will keep everyone happy and he didn't even have Nico The answer for a player to not get "run off" is to do your job and show the staff in practice, preparation and commitment that you have more to offer than the other guy. You have to recruit depth...and he is doing that. If Kenny had chosen to stay around, we would probably be talking about somebody else getting run off when they didn't get the minutes people think they deserve.

If we grab another kid he better be able to know down some threes and be fairy athletic Degnan is probably the best 3 pt shooter in the program. Not overly athletic though. I'd obviously like another 6'5" wing. Nico is only kid on the team between 6'3" and 6'7" (Huerter might be bigger than 6'7" right now. I think Shante is 6'3" and not real athletic)

If Jimmy can't get us there with this group, the admin needs to take a hard look at the reasons for the failure. See? I have expectations, too! This is a very realistic and fair take. Getting into an "N" tournament is the expectation. I want the NCAA but NIT is the minimum. Still a lot of basketball to be played. Siena has started either 3-2 or 2-3 in 12 straight years (9 times at 2-3, 3 times at 3-2). We NEVER seem to come out of the gate flying. Some of those years were really outstanding and some really bad. Teams usually play to the level they're projected at but not always. I'm confident when we get everyone together and clicking this team is going to have a big year. Of course I am an optimist. And let's face it nobody is lightening it up in the MAAC. Fairfield is the only team with a winning record at 3-1. The MAAC is a combined 15-29 so far. Hopefully the conference starts to pick it up.
