I don't like losing either and am frustrated too. I just refuse to join in the mutiny or revolution against the coach, coaching staff, players, admin, etc.. I'll just continue to show my support. Biggest fan ever!!!!!!!!

The Maac has 5 NCAA wins when seeded 13th or better, 0-15 when seeded 14 or worse. Right now the Maac is 15 games under .500 and no doubt headed to another 14-16 seed. If the whole season is always only about three days in march it will never achieve the level of success it claims it wants in the tourney. This is why I am hopeful that the tweaks to the schedule will make progress in this area. But, the games need to be won to be meaningful. I agree the better the seed the better the chance of NCAA tourney game win; but disagree wit 0-15 stat for seeds 14-15. Siena got a victory as a 16 seed. So did Niagara in '07, but I didn't go there with the play-in victory.

Biggest fan ever!!!!!!!! That, or I'm more crazy than the 10 or 12 very vocal fans, on this board, who are really upset.

Can we take a deep breath? Some of you fragile darlings, hug your plushy bear, color in your books, play with your play-dough and drink your cocoa. We can all agree that right now the team is not quite where most expected them before the season began, but no one factored in no Lavon for 3 games to start the year and no Nico for 2 games so far. So how has the team done objectively (I think) so far? They beat a Cornell team as expected without LL and without struggling. Next up GW. Despite BB only going 5 and 6, JO missing two open bunny dunks, despite MW missing 2 key FT's late, they still had a chance to tie a team with 5.9 seconds left, that not everyone thought they would beat on the road. Two more seconds on the clock would have allowed a drive to the basket for a chance to tie or a drive and a foul with a chance to tie. Not a bad showing by any means. (and still no LL) Kansas, #7 in the country coming into the game. 21pt. underdog and they play them to with-in 5pts with 6 1/2 min remaining. Despite BB going 6 and 5 and no LL or NC. Sure they lost by 20, but no one would have expected it to be that close missing two starters and having BB continuing to struggle. That makes the team 1-2, where many think they would be even with a full healthy team. Finally, UNC-A. A team I think many Siena fans looked down their nose at because they are from the SoCon, and they surprised everyone. Once again a "non-Brett-like" BB with 6 and 5, no Nico, JO playing matador defense late because of 3 PF's, and just a horrific perimeter defensive effort in the second half. You can blame the loss on EF giving up a rebound if you are inclined to find reasons why he shouldn't play. You can say he is a defensive liability, but yesterday the the entire defense was a defensive liability. It was a stinker of a game. Numerous times the Saints had it down to 4 or 5 and then the defense would let UNC-A rain buckets. On the other side of the court, welcome back LL with momentum killing T/O's (although JO contributed just as many). Back to 19 T/O's a game. Numerous times leading up to the season Tony and many others correctly said "if we can cut down the turn-overs and tighten our perimeter defense, we are going to have a great season." Yesterday, they reverted to form (hopefully for only one game) and it doesn't look like such a great season. So after 4 games, I see an expected win, two encouraging efforts in road losses, and one really bad road loss. Haters will hate, but JP is doing about what was expected so far, and those were some pretty good expectations. Peace Gotta love a it when a someone starts out asking everyone to calm down then hurls insults. Way to go Liberal using the liberal political play book. That MO really get people to listen and go along with you. smh

And yet another play from the liberal play book. When someone doesn't hold the same point of view as you accuse them of throwing a baby in front of a fire truck. Who here is calling for a revolution? Especially against the players! Asking serious questions, looking for better outcomes, wanting our team to succeed - you bet. But looking for a revolution pulease....

That is such a load of crap! No team has ever been seeded without consideration given to OOC play. This is especially so for teams not in the power conferences. Okay genius, I asked the question to another non-believer, give me ONE GOOD OOC WIN Iona had last year. ONE. Recap: They finished 2nd in league, 22-10, and were seeded 13th. Fill us in on the OOC win that got a so-so 22-10 record a 13 seed. Dear Idiot, ALL GAMES MATTER! Sincerely, Genius

Siena needs to dominate Pine-Bluff on Wednesday and get the full team ready to beat UA. We do that hopefully we'll start to play like the team we all expected all summer.

I'm a registered Conservative! The mutiny/revolution (of some) is against the HC. Others, not in this thread, also would like a change in the admin as well (for hiring the last tw HCs). I threw in the players and other coaching staff so as not to leave anyone out as to whom/who I was supporting.

Evan Fisher is a player on this team, he is getting zero respect from some out here. I just don't get it, he is going to continue to be in the rotations, someone has to play the 40 minutes two starters are missing due to parking violations. If Brett isn't 100% he will get some of his minutes too.
The team is underachieving due to rebounding and defense, that is 100% on the players not coaching.

If it's the players' fault as you say, then someone is to blame no..? Evan Fisher (by the numbers) is the worst rebounder for his position on the team with a sample size of 38 games. As such, it would be both a player issue and a coaching issue. It's a coaching issue if it's not rectified either thru his improved play or the reduction of his minutes in favor of those who provide better rebounding and defense. Don't tell us you're concerned about rebounding and defense and then play this kid 20 mins a game. As a coach, you've lost your right to complain as this was your decision. The data was readily available and everyone can see it. It's not like it's just a random opinion. The numbers prove it out. As a side note, on Sunday, there was a play where a guy was barreling straight down the lane all 'Lavon-Long-freight-train-out-of-hell-like' and you just know that Bisping takes the charge easily there and it's Siena's ball. Ho hum. It was like slow motion. Instead Fisher retreated into the circle and then jumped into the guy trying to block him. Foul. That's the difference. Evan Fisher seems like a great kid with a good personality but on D and on the boards, he struggles immensely. It is what it is.

KK, if you want to blame Fisher go for it. It's a team game one guy not getting the stats you drive for so be it. Blame the coach for playing a stiff. I'm done.

Saying this is 100% on the players is as laughable as saying it's all on the HC. Coaches coach, instruct, and develop/adjust gameplans. Players need to execute. There is room for poor performance in each of those elements.

IS, don't sweat it, he called me a liberal as well (and I campaigned for Trump) he is just a little confused. Of course it is the liberals who would reference the nonsense coddling of those who think the world has ended because things didn't go their way that is going on at some campuses.

Iona won 3 OOC games last year: ALL at HOME 1-Delaware (7-23), 2-Drexel (6-25), and 3-Texas Southern (18-15) Those 3 ultra impressive OOC wins, a 2nd place MAAC finish and a 22-10 record, got them a 13 seed. Tell me again why these 3 losses have already ruined our season, and the sky is falling?

Guarantee you it would have helped them. Once again ALL GAMES MATTER! Sincerely, Genius
