Supposedly Lavon has been suspended for 3 games for not paying parking tickets, so it has been stated here. Seems when you have a money making program, the institution needs money, that you would not cut off your nose to spite your face. Did Lavon need to be disciplined, certainly yes, but the powers to be just cost the school a win. Let's think out of the box if this is what he was being disciplined for and not hurt the program. IMO there are factions at the school whom are divided over the program. Ah yes, just look the other way as winning a basketball game is more important than sending a message to a kid who over the four years he's been here has not always put the team first. Sorry, this one is all on Lavon. He's got no one to blame but himself and he let his team down. I can only hope that as a senior who will be entering the next phase of his life in 7 months, he starts getting it.

Yeah it hurt not having Lavon but we should have won anyway ... why not just tow his damn car? how this becomes an admin problem or athletic dept problem is silly.... unless it was a combo of many things and this parking tickets were the straw.
otherwise, easy answer to parking tickets, boot the car or tow it. Pay to have that remedied more then once you may learn to park your car legally.
And disagree not having Long cost them a win... easy to say that now, but he has run so hot and cold, how would anyone know what LL shows up? he could just as easily foul out in 20 min as drop 20 and 10, so can't armchair quarterback that now.
Jimmy and his teams lose games. I don't see him ever having a team that goes 26-5. Just need to hope this team plays its best ball in Feb and March. Yes, i would like the team to win as many as possible. but too many headscratching loses last few years (this is not one, was not an "easy" win, so a toss up as papi would say) doesn't lead me to think Siena will be in any running for any at large in the near future, so this game means very little now.

Lavon has the 2nd highest points per shot efficiency on the team to JO. He also rebounds and defends.
Maybe he turns it over or something but he brings things with him box outs...which seems to be sorely lacking. He always finds a body. So he's not just a better rebounder than Fisher but he makes rebounding easier for others. The rebounding might have been closer with him out there.
Also, often times he is the one that helps us through certain scoring droughts because he is a great 15 and in face up scorer. He is a different type of scorer than the other 4 and he finds certain openings that they don't. It could be that while they were stopping the other 4, it was he who could have had room to put up points.
It's all conjecture but, I'd say that yeah, he could have put us over the top in this one. He's a box score stuffer.

Duke and Monmouth boards must be all over Coach K and King Rice because their teams lost winnable games last night. Most likely Coach Thompson under fire also because hi Hoyas couldn't get it done. Coaches can not shoot free throws or grab rebounds or block shots.

I think the top 8 is fleshing themselves out: Wright, Clareth, Bisping, JO, Long, Smithen, Shivers, Richard
I don't see how Fisher can continue to play 19 mpg. I'd give all those minutes to Lavon and go small behind Bisping/JO. With our newfound athleticism in the backcourt, it might be the right time to Lavon as a 4 more in a more effective press.
Fisher's minutes should not come at the expense of the new guards. Every guard except Richard is outrebounding him!

It was a winnable game, but a loss. Move on. They did enough not to win. The missed FTs aren't because they don't practice, that's just idiotic. Shots are missed nobody is perfect. These guys could make FTs in their sleep. End of game situations just magnify misses.
GW struggled to beat MDES does that mean Siena is on MDES level? No it was just another game. If Siena loses to Kansas by 10,20 or 30 does it matter? its a loss.

Give JP some credit. He said EF's contribution doesn't show up on the stat sheet and he's right. He doesn't show up there but unfortunately games are won or lost on the stat sheet, that's where you find the points scored!

The only thing I would add is that I would like to see WB get a fair shot at some meaningful minutes. He looked pretty good at times during his freshman year. I believe with a little PT he could shake off some rust and provide a couple blocks rebounds and few points. He's very athletic, too athletic to be relegated to the bench for the entire game.

But his deficiencies do, Patsos is starting to look pretty bad with his decision to play EF 20 minutes a game. I have to ask if an entire arena can see issues why can't the head coach? C'mon JP dont insult fans with the intangibles BS. I hate ragging on Evan I'm sure he's a great kid and he looks to be a very capable shooter. I don't think Patsos has done him any favors by exposing his weeknesses instead of playing to his strength, which is a big that can shoot the 3 and maybe bring an occasional offensive spark when needed.
