Brett that's y'all guy. I never seen what you guys see. No disrespect. Solid player though. It was Marquis 17...Sina 0 at half time. So I'm guessing there wasn't much "Sina is great" talk from you around 8pm. Second half was his. He outscored Marquis 16-4. The biggest was at the FT line, where Sina was perfect and 'Quis missed 2 huge ones with 1:28 left that could have given us the lead. As for only "us" seeing the positives in Brett, the coaches of the MAAC voted him First Team last year, and pre-season First Team this year. Him only getting 3 shots is very telling. Whats it's telling us, I'm not sure, but it cant be good. Who said Sina was great? ? Sina not terrible like you were saying solid A10 player. Is MW better maybe or maybe not? Two different type players. Yes I think MW would do well in A10. Sina played well when it counted and made FTS. He won player of the game. I'm not sure why you keep comparing them. They both do what they do. Brett agreed. He's solid/good MAAC player, but I just thought last night was bad match up for him against Tyler C and the long 6"9 freshman caused him some problem. I think the reason for the 3 shots was GW length. He got caught picking his dribble up a lot last night. They also played a lot threw JO in the post who was effective. Lavon I will say you guys were right he would've helped last night.

If anything it was Lavon's abscence that cost the game. He would surely have put Siena over the top, his suspension hurts.

Way down in warm Florida I listened to a great game. Not sure what some of the other posters heard. We battled every step and gave it our all. Coach and team should be proud........this fan is. The season is young and we will be on top in many contests.

Supposedly Lavon has been suspended for 3 games for not paying parking tickets, so it has been stated here. Seems when you have a money making program, the institution needs money, that you would not cut off your nose to spite your face. Did Lavon need to be disciplined, certainly yes, but the powers to be just cost the school a win. Let's think out of the box if this is what he was being disciplined for and not hurt the program. IMO there are factions at the school whom are divided over the program.

I need to lower my expectations. JP has brought Siena to a low major level. Hmm. You think this because we lost our second game of the year on the road to an A-10 team by two points?

@marksingelais :On the bright side, Siena with only six turnovers tonight. That's 14 in two games, or two fewer than Saints averaged per game last season.

The turnover aspect is refreshingly positive. That is a huge plus. We still shouldn't have dropped this game but it is great that the TOs have been addressed.

Yes, Siena should have won this game! I fully expect this team to learn from it and improve!

This board has changed little. Not all that long ago Lavon was the whipping boy ,now team can't win without him. I agree Lavon can be the MVP. Now EF is the whipping boy. I root for all team's players but truthfully in the practices I have seen W B has not impressed. On the other hand my thought is that Sammy Friday could help with the rebounding problem.

The low turnover trend is a strong positive but allowing 16 offensive rebounds swings the scale big time. That's 16 fewer opportunities to turn it over - learned to interpret stats from reading KK

.500 Jimbo said on paper we weren't supposed to win this game so all is good. Keep lowering those expectations Jimmy. GW is not good. We'll look back on this as a terrible loss.

There are "factions" at just about every school that have serious, and reasonable, misgivings about the amount of money, resources and attention given to athletics vis-à-vis academic programs. That debate has been an issue ever since colleges/universities began fielding teams in various sports over a hundred and fifty years ago.

Dipset, why is this such a terrible loss? Siena plays in the MAAC.. a one bid league with very rare exceptions (see Monmouth last year). "The season" is the MAAC season. JP has repeatedly said he would like to win every game but in his view the OOC games are of little consequence in the end. As for his "coaching" I think he did a great job in "coaching" Brett to a 5 and 6 line in 32 minutes, as well as coaching JO on how to blow two wide open 2 handed dunks, or coaching MW on how to miss 2 crucial FT's at the end. I am sure you feel better when you can blame someone for your personal disappointment, maybe one day you will learn that sometimes losing is part of life and beyond learning from your mistakes, "looking back" is rarely productive.

GW will max out at 12 wins. They are not good. These are games in year four with a group of seniors that JP should be winning. I'm sure you are fine with being medicore in everyday life. Maybe you can go work for Jimbo.
