This team needs to score points to be successful. I'd like to see more EF especially if he can knock down the three. What I'm taking from the exhibition is Siena only made 4 three's from guys not named Fisher. So? Last three years, we only make 5 a game anyway. We shot close to 60% in this game. We scored 92 points on just 57 shots. That's 1.61 points per shot. Siena led the league last year at 1.33. FF beat Bridgeport 91-59 making 14 of 31 threes. Their PPS was 1.49. So even on one of their hot shooting nights, we still scored more efficiently than them. We only need the threat of the three. We don't actually need the three. Fran's teams didn't really shoot the three either. Make 2s and get to the line. That's our game.

Funny thing is that was WB's game/strenght his freshmen season and he redshirted to supposedly improve his game. Makes no sense...

BTW Daemen gave U Buffalo all they could handle, UB beat Daemen in OT. Bodes well for Saints-- as for scoring points- KK is right, who cares about 3 when you score at Siena's 2 point percentage. Cut down on turnovers and no telling how many points this team will score

That's fine if you shoot 60%, what happens when you shoot 40% and have 20 turnovers. Last year, we shot 50% from 2 and got to the FT line the most in the league. But the key here is also that we out rebound everyone. So when we miss those 2's we're also 6th in the Nation at getting the ball back. Fun eh? We've averaged 14th in the nation at that over JP's 3 years. The short rebounds are likely ours. The long rebounds more likely theirs. I'm not worried. My worst fear is actually that we shoot the 3 too much. I'm a little afraid that Wright and Clareth, in particular, will get too three happy.

Khalil played well against the competition and I think he will do just fine this year, that kid is a baller. Played with intensity on D and made an effort to rebound also. WB getting 4 min garbage time was the most disappointing thing of the night for me. What am I missing here? Kid looks to have all the tools and lets be honest Evan's D cant be any better lol... Anyone know if Kadeem started practicing yet? Kadeem practiced on Friday. Played all out. Lots of quick cuts, stops, change of direction. Didn't seem to have any problem with the knee. Will be interesting to see how the knee reacts today to yesterday's workout. The young man is very, very quick. Based on yesterday, he doesn't seem to have lost any of the quickness following the surgery.

I'll be happy with 7-10 made 3's per game. I've just seen too many teams come into the TUC and shoot lights out from 3 and steal games.

Monmouth, Iona, Iona. 28 win team, MAAC champ, MAAC champ All were without Wright at 100% and had more to do with the turnover issue than anything else. They were the 2 best turnover margin teams and we were the worst. Plus they can score efficiently enough to offset our other strengths over them. It is a matchup issue until we take care of the ball better. But we know that. Take care of the ball and we become the better team.

BTW Daemen gave U Buffalo all they could handle, UB beat Daemen in OT. Bodes well for Saints-- as for scoring points- KK is right, who cares about 3 when you score at Siena's 2 point percentage. Cut down on turnovers and no telling how many points this team will score Tony that's meaningless as a metric, LeMoyne beat Syracuse in '15 and was a 500 D2 squad and Syracuse made it to the semi's in the big dance. That outcome didn't mean a thing. I believe Siena is extremely talented but that game failed to prove anything outside the first 5-10 minutes. I'd love to see Siena play UB; however using the outcome of the Daemon scrimmage to determine the potential outcome between the 2 teams is useless. It's a scrimmage. Papi - yeah Evan can knock down the three but he's as useful as a screen door on a submarine on D. He will do fine filling Oliver's role but he can't be on the floor for long stretches.

Thanks 22...that is great to hear Another arrow back in the quiver. Nico's knee doesn't appear to be bothering him anymore either. Sounds like the Saints are at full strength. Yay.

That outcome meant nothing. I believe Siena is extremely talented but that game proved nothing outside the first 5-10 minutes. I'd love to see Siena play UB but the outcome of the Daemon game as a common opponent would tell you nothing of the potential outcome between the 2. In other words using the Daemon game on as a metric is useless. Papi - yeah Evan can knock down the three but he's a screen door on a submarine on D. He's do ok filling the Oliver type role be he can't be on the floor for long stretches. While the final score difference doesn't mean I'm ready to say Siena will cut down the nets- Sorry not meaningless- common opponent and margin of final score are what sagarin pomeroy etc are based on. Now granted 1 game isnt a big thing- as you mention upsets can and do happen. That's why the more games played the more accurate. But its a little bit more important than "meaningless". If Siena barely beat Daemen and UB pounded them- I wonder if you would be saying same thing?
