Fisher still can't defend. But oh yeah, there's that shooting thing. He can do that.

Bisping doesn't ever seem to get into a real flow until like game 4 or 5 every year.

Marquis looked really good...Nico was explosive - knee looked fine. I think JO is poised for a big year (though I don't love him taking a ton of threes). Fisher really has a good outside shot hit like 5 bombs.
Richard and Shivers both looked very solid.
Lavon looked in good shape and active.
Not Brett's best game but I wouldn't worry too much.
When you add Smithen to the mix Siena will have a lot of quickness and should be a really good defensive team to go along with the potent offense.
Free throw shooting needs work and way too many second half turnovers.
A lot to clean up but this team should be excellent!

Brett will come around..Fisher can shoot- his defense stinks. Against D1 teams they will go out and guard Fisher. More I see Khalil- the more I think that kid can play. Kadeem should get cleared to practice tomorrow ( and you guys are going to like him also) So some good things tonight..some work to do on turnovers

We have a lot of good ball handlers. In theory, we should be able to fix the turnover problem. Brett won't have 6 TOs every night.
Some of the guys were a bit too aggressive today which led to some unforced turnovers. We weren't that great in transition passing.

I'm impressed with Richard, he had a few too many unforced turnovers but I can see the potential.
Fisher was slinging it from 3 tonight, which was nice to see. Hopefully that carries though to the regular season.
Shivers had a nice run down the baseline for the dunk. Not sure what to make of his game yet but only the second time I have seen him play.
WB seems buried on the bench. No Friday, not sure if he was dressed for play tonight.

Hopefully Friday can be a solid defending big. If Fisher's shot is off, there's no reason to play him and either Long should play the 4 or Friday or WB get in there. Play Fisher if he's shooting well...go for D if not.

A few observations: First off this game was a blow out within the first 5-10 min and the game got really sloppy from there on out. Wright and Nico are by far just so much more athletic than anyone else on the floor. Richards looked solid and capable running the point, Fisher shot lights out BUT unfortunately he struggled guarding mediocre D2 talent and still lacks a post game. On the plus side I did like that he was aggressive and took advantage of the open look when the 3 was there and converted. Could help fill Olivers role. Shivers looks scrappy but seems like he might lack quicks (although he did have a nice drive and dunk) and might have trouble vs quicker/better MAAC guards/wings. Need to see more (could be wrong just 1st impression). Huerter played sparingly and looked somewhat slow and tentative. WB got very little run. He may be the new Silas ... buried on the bench. The kid I really wanted to see (Smithen) couldn't play. Need to see what he can bring. Brett was off, JO and Lavon were as expected.
Sloppy game lead to turnovers but still far too many. FT's can't be 50%.
Watching tonight just reminded me how important this next recruiting class is, we're losing a ton.

WB seems buried on the bench. No Friday, not sure if he was dressed for play tonight. Friday wasn't dressed. Both of our freshman guards are the real deal. I do agree with the comments about the turnovers. With Richard at PG we had really excellent ball movement in the half court offense. When the team was running in transition they looked pretty good but I think the team was so pumped up they started to try to do too much. They started getting a little sloppy with the ball and were trying to do too much. Some of the bad decisions were just that. There was an awful lot to like tonight. I saw a lot of athleticism and a lot of speed. KW who? Richard is going to be a great player for Siena. Back-up PG solved. I can't wait to see Smithen and get him in the mix.
