Attended game. Large Siena fan contingent's support was negated by Marist's band which unbelievably was allowed to play at virtually every stoppage of play. Some schools don't know the importance of dancing coffee cups .McAnn Center has been a house of horrors for Siena over the years. Two years ago bad in bounds pass and today were just two examples. Foxes muscular guards got into the lane and to the hoop too easily. Marist had lost about six games by less than five points this year. Saints as with second Manhattan game felt like all they had to do was show up. Team has to do better strength training over the next off season.

Why would a band not be allowed to play during stoppages in play, hankla?

This is the fifth game this season that Siena had no business losing: Cornell, Vermont, Marist, Manhattan and St. Peters. A great season that is getting away.

The worst two losses were Cornell and Marist today. Vermont was the first game without Wright. Siena never plays well at SPU. Manhattan isn't a bad team and that was a 3 OT game. So I would agree that 16-9 could easily be 18-7. This game was a tough one to take with Cornell being a close second. We're 8-5 since Wright got hurt and I think we would have all signed for it when his injury happened. But the team has raised the bar so losing this game stings. Good news is if we can bounce back we can finish with a good seed for the tournament and if Wright is even 80% of what he was with Nico and our front court..we've got a chance with the tournament at the TUC.

Lets calm down people. Yes, a bad loss, but we are still in 3rd place by ourselves. Think back to when Marquis went out - nobody thought we would be this close. If have we over-performed for several weeks only to have under-performed yesterday, then things could be a lot worse. If this serves as a wakeup call, then it won't be a terrible thing. Lots of young kids getting valuable experience, and yesterday added to it.

Thanks Mike and I82. I needed the perspective you offer and you are right. But never expected this team to come out bland as reported.

No significance to those five losses all being on the road?Ask #1 Oklahoma and #2 North Carolina(at least last week) about road games at lesser foes. Hell ,Carolina even lost to a team Monmouth had beaten.

Hell ,Carolina even lost to a team Monmouth had beaten. That Carolina coach must suck, to lose to a team that a lesser conference (maac) team beat. He must not be able to either get his players motivated or sucks as an X's & O's type of guy.
