I always try to stay pretty positive about the Saints. I just can't do it today. The zone was the WORST zone defense I have ever seen - no anticipation, no adjustments, no energy. Marist wanted it more.
There - I feel better now, but not much better.

Lets face it other than Nico we get ZERO production out of Fisher Cam and LaRose and the rest of the bench .. logging time and filling space on the floor is not the same as being productive, scoring, rebounding, playing aggressive D and dishing. Yes some of these players are young (projects) and may develop but we need players who can hit the ground running like Nico. Maybe Barnes Holt or Truehart will help. I remember watching HS film of Nico you just knew this kid had skill and no quit.

Blaming the coach is nonsense. These guys didn't show, nothing else. BS on the short rest, these games are on the schedule and you know what the deal is. Hell the most important part of the season you get 0 days off between games. Suck it up and show up.

We need more players with the enthusiasm of Nico. He sometimes gets over excited but thats far better than a players that plays when the mood suits him.

Only the coach haters blame JP for this. He tells them all the stuff they need to hear. Whether they execute it or not is on them. Hopefully this game does shine the light on having to bury kids that don't give a shit. He can be blamed for playing Gottfired at all, and even one more minute this season. . In the end patsos is responsible for every player on the team in the first place and who plays on the court. Only someone who is biased doesn't agree with that fact. If lavon is not ready to play give him a cot and let somebody else play. At least use his megaphone on him.

Bad games from a lot of guys, most notably Lavon. I can't figure him out. On one end, you have games like the Canisius game where he is totally engaged and looks like an all league player. Then you have games like today when it looks like he doesn't give a shit. I don't understand it. There is difference between having a bad game and being disinterested, hope he figures it out for the tournament.

I said this a few weeks ago and I'll say it again- when Lavon doesn't show up, we lose. He is very important to our success therefore he HAS to bring it every game or else we will be sleeping instead of dancing in March.

At this point you bench Long start Nico and sit Lavon until his ass gets sore. Nico has earned every minute. Lavon needs to get his act together and bring it every second he's on the floor. No excuses he has too much ability ... It looks to me like the kid burns out playing ball and it shows.

For this team since there is nothing really at stake besides position for the tourney, perhaps games like this ( hopefully last one)! Provides a teaching moment. As patsos said before the game any given Sunday a team can beat you. Siena should know they have to bring it for the quarters or it will be a short Maac, tuc or not.

This team was due for a bad loss. And it's a wake up call for some players! I fully expect this team rebound from this game. Let's go saints!

No excuses he has too much ability ... It looks to me like the kid burns out on hoop and it shows. Nico has talent and he loves the game, every game, all the time. Lavon is a junior, at this point even if he doesn't like the game he should bring his lunch pail and do his job.

What a debacle-Marist is a dreadful team... Our Defense was porous-very few stops-lots of easy buckets for Marist... no excuses for this loss...

Why is it the coaches fault that the team plays like crap? . hey if the coach has no impact I'll do it for free and save the school 500k. Move back to arc and ticket prices can be $200 cheaper. I, for one, never want yo go back to the ARC.
