Coming out of the huddle is a point of emphasis this year - bogus call but you usually see POE calls early in the year for emphasis and so the refs can say they get it. Total BS that almost bit us but we should learn from it. Ugly hard fought game. Kids looked tired but never gave up. Can build on this one in way too many areas. On to the TUC. a 1 point technical in the first half did not affect the outcome of a game. How many shots around the rim did the Saints miss tonight? Great win but the Saints did not play their best. Thing is, love it. Last year they needed to play well in order to win ... really good teams can struggle and still find ways to win.

I can only imaging Brett was dying on that bench at the end!

Never doubted it for a moment. (yeah right) musicman, your wife is the blonde in the picture right? Why complain about mouth to mouth? Saints were shooting over 73% from free throw line coming ... this was just one of those games. Love how hard this team fights. Gonna be a fun team because of how hard they play. yes, the blonde is mine, and you're right, I'll use any excuse to go mouth to mouth with her.

Ugly game-at least They came away with the win -mostly due to the rebounding advantage-no excuse for the horrendous foulshooting-gotta address that-Another dumb T by Patsos.... Was there a technical besides the one for not breaking the huddle? No, not today, only one. Think onions was referring to the poor T's from the past few seasons (UMass & Quinny basically at the half when time expired). I simply viewed those as a way to get team motivated or to let the refs know he didn't like the way game was beng called, etc.. I wasn't too upset about the T's.

Nice win. Siena was clearly the better team but too many misses around the rim and poor foul shooting kept Bucknell close.

In spite of that the team prevailed. Go Saints.

My random thoughts:
- It's too early for accolades - but if Marquis Wright keeps this up, he will not only contend for 1st team All-MAAC, but has a shot at MAAC POY. Yes, stepping out of bounds late in regulation was a costly error, but he nearly got a triple-double tonight and looked mighty good doing it.
- I guess you can tag Patsos on the T, but as Misspractice mentioned earlier, getting out of time outs/stoppages in play quickly is a point of emphasis this year - a little cheap to tag the Siena bench with that call without a warning or anything. With that said, hopefully you don't see Siena get that called against them again.
- Siena looks like Quinnipiac two years ago. Just relentless on the boards the past few games.
- Brett with 16 pts 16 boards - what a yeoman's effort. The few non-charge calls could have gone either way (I guess) but on my at-the-time choppy feed, looks like he deserved at least one of them.
- I am a big Lavon fan - but other than some key free throws and a HUGE block late, he looked like he was sleepwalking a bit. He's allowed an off game, but it certainly wasn't a banner outing for a guy who's played great this year.
- Javion - damn, dude. Damn.
- The Frosh - not their proudest moment. Clareth brought some good energy and provided some much needed buckets, but overall the defense and reliability was shaky from Nico, Kenny, and Evan.
- The Bucknell feed's announcer needs to have "corrections" credits run like the SNL "Fox News" skit with the myriad of inconsistent comments made during the broadcast. I appreciate his enthusiasm, but yeesh.
- The one thing the announcer DID say (and I didn't fact check, but I'll take it as fact) was that Siena had lost 24 STRAIGHT games where they gave up 80 or more points until tonight?? If true, that's incredible (and sad). Glad to get off the snide on that one.

Many times JP asks for some to get team motivated (more so the first couple years here at Siena). Not just today's funky one.

I may have missed it, but not one person took into consideration the kind of schedule this team has had. Brutal scheduling by the powers that be. Missed layups and missed foul shots are tired legs. Some of these kids have never played the kind of schedule away from there home base that these guys have had to do. I almost think there may be one or two of you have [played competitive ball by your comments. And cellar rats's name fit him and his brain size to a t.

The T tonight was totally technical, not due to a coach or player's outburst. As someone said, we should/will not get that call again - the DOBO will earn his keep when the horn sounds - can be tough talking over JP. I do believe we might see it again against teams playing us, but who knows.

The turnovers are really getting out of hand. I don't know how much longer we can keep that up and still keep winning games.
We're averaging like 17 a game. That should put you in last place by rights. It's just that our FG% and rebounding has been so good we've made up for it.
