Like D2 wasn't impressed in the least. great how did he shoot? Locked up by a kid that will never play ball after HS. He played him physical, zip from the perimeter. If a 6' HS player locked him up how's that translate against Iona or Manhattan? He's suppose to be our snipper but he could hardly break free to get a sniff tonight.

Like D2 wasn't impressed in the least. HJ's not going to like that evaluation.

I also thought he lacked a handle and speed. Had the ball taken from him a few times. He played the 4 and was dogged. His teammates compensated but he didn't force the issue. He had a nice put back dunk but scored mostly from the line.
I went with my son, he couldn't see D1 either. He's basing that on the 1 game to be fair, I've seen LaRose twice now.

Maybe the kid had a bad day.
Also wary of opinions from people who clearly have an agenda..

Please I don't have an agenda I call it as I see it, and fairly, at least I made the effort to go the game and report back. You may not like what I have to say but you didn't go now did you?

He had as smooth a stroke as you can imagine from the line. He was bottled up most of the game as oneindian stated. He didn't force too much and he allowed his teammates to get open looks. Wasn't afraid to mix it up for the boards. I'm guessing this wasn't the type of game that gave him a d1 scholly. It will be interesting to see how he performs in glens falls with the game on the line. It was nice to root for a team that was winning for a change, and he even got me out of there early.

That is a type of player we are looking from LaRose right now. He's clearly the fourth recruit of next year's freshman class (and potentially the fifth if someone else signs). He won't be an impact guy right away. The guys we really need to catch on early and Nico Clareth and Kenny Wormley. They both will bring athleticism which is badly needed and hopefully very good defense. Evan Fisher will probably take some time as most guys 6'8 do in the MAAC and Siena is deep upfront with the return of Bisping and Silas.
