He had as smooth a stroke as you can imagine from the line. He was bottled up most of the game as oneindian stated. He didn't force too much and he allowed his teammates to get open looks. Wasn't afraid to mix it up for the boards. I'm guessing this wasn't the type of game that gave him a d1 scholly. It will be interesting to see how he performs in glens falls with the game on the line. It was nice to root for a team that was winning for a change, and he even got me out of there early. That is a type of player we are looking from LaRose right now. He's clearly the fourth recruit of next year's freshman class (and potentially the fifth if someone else signs). He won't be an impact guy right away. The guys we really need to catch on early and Nico Clareth and Kenny Wormley. They both will bring athleticism which is badly needed and hopefully very good defense. Evan Fisher will probably take some time as most guys 6'8 do in the MAAC and Siena is deep upfront with the return of Bisping and Silas. LMAO. Kid doesn't have a great game, claims kid could have just had a bad day and then follows that up with a post about how this kid is now the 4th or 5th recruit next year without seeing any of these kids play. LMAO - MTS everyone! And go ahead and use my first name again, that's very Hoopjunkie of you. Hack.

To be fair if he touched the ball on the perimeter he was immediately doubled, the entire 3rd quarter he was doubled. Decent motor, good size, stroke was smooth shot was just not falling. He forced nothing and made good decisions with the ball. Needs to get stronger. Overall he is as expected.

I was there and agree with the assessment posted by gorvy and siena7127. I don't think today was his comfort zone type of game. He was definitely doubled most of time he touched the ball on the perimeter, didn't force things and got his team mates involved rather unselfishly I thought with a few nice passes. Handle could be better, but it isn't terrible either. Kind of a taller Mike Beers that needs to develop a ton more strength. Lots of work to be done before he can play on the level we need to contend in the league against those who are bigger, stronger and more athletic.

In all fairness to Kinnon they had #32 follow him step for step playing physical which the refs allowed and would double him when he put the ball on the floor. With that being said he could get up and down the floor OK but could not create room to get to basket. He also did not jump particularly well. Will go see him on Friday as this was the first I have seen him play; Not what I was expecting for a shooting guard,We'll see. GO SAINTS!!

Question - where do you see him fitting in the five year plan - is he two or three years away from being in the playing group off the bench? The earlier quip that he was the last recruit brought back memories of some other last ones taken - hope that was just an MTS waffle cone!

you have to put this is perspective he's playing against HF and not one of those kids tonight was anywhere near a D 1 athlete and LaRose was shut down and pretty easily at that. As far saying he was doubled well he wasn't all that much. The kid that did the damage on D was #32 and he was a 6' tall player that was in his shorts the entire night. He completely altered LaRose's game. What do you think is going to happen vs Iona and MC. Trust me this kid is closer to Joel W than Cremo. Think this is another Patsos head scratcher that you all eventually will be ragging on ....only time will tell.
If you can't beat this level of athlete for at least a couple of outside shots you're in trouble. He scored 0 from the outside and couldn't take anyone off the bounce.
Out of his comfort level, that's a giant red flag in my book.

Yet his team, which many have said was horrible other than him, has advanced to the state's semi's beating a Hoosick Falls team that had lost just once all year.
He's a Saint now (and a 18 year old kid), give him a break and let's just see what he develops in to.

It certainly wasn't one of his better game scoring wise. I think the kid is unselfish to a fault. He just seems to want to fit into his team and it seemed like he was trying not to be the star. In the 4th quarter with HF pressing and getting steals, OFA finally put the ball into Kinnon's hands to settle his team down. Once he had the ball in his hands they broke the press and pulled away. I thought the biggest problem was the lack of execution by his teammates in attacking on offense. (they can shoot the 3) That's not to say that he doesn't have a lot of work ahead of him. Lack of shooting ability won't be one of his weaknesses in my estimation. He does remind of Poole.

7127 summed up Kinnon quite well. I commented he moved about the court like Mack of CCHS. He's money at the foul line. He looked to be tentative on defense even though he had a couple blocks. He needs to add 15-20 lbs. and get considerably stronger. At this stage K. Huerter and Platek are considerably better.

Platek was covered TWICE by a soccer player from Shen and had horrible games. How did that happen? My evaluation of LaRose last week seems spot on from this game I didn't see. He's not real athletic, but very smart. NEEDS to play with better kids that help him get good looks. Really needs to work on his quickness and balhandling, nbut when he's open, I like the chances he'll knock down deep jumpers.

Saw the highlights this morning and he had a nice follow up dunk on a missed shot. Hopefully I'll catch him next week in glens falls

JP had more time to assess the situation and if no o0ne was our there he could wair for a transfer. This was a Mirch move. I think most of us our tired of not having a professional coach.c

So the kid hasn't had one practice or played in one game in college ! And people have already questioned his ability to play D1 basketball! Talk about arrogant!
