The way the last few weeks have gone, I think a strong case could be made for a Wright, Oliver, Poole, Brandwijk, JO starting lineup for the tournament. WB has been the best on the boards of late and at times can be a disruptive defensive presence. Maybe if your goal is to lose my as little as possible. If Siena is going to make a run in the tourney it is going to require Lavon Long playing good basketball. You gotta have him out there and hope he can get out of his funk. Was only three games back that he posted a double double. Yeah, but which guy are you more likely to get of late? 1 good game out of 7 with 6 DQs. Less rebounds per minute than WB. Less steals, less blocks. Lavon blocked 14 shots this year. WB prorated would have 23. Lavon has 23 steals this year. WB prorated would have 37. Lavon averages 4.9 boards in 27.2 mins. WB prorated averages 5.6. Lavon has DQ'd 6 of the last 7 games. WB hasn't DQ'd all year. Yeah that's right. So let's just forget about that for a moment and think about what that does... Wright, Oliver, and Poole all take care of the ball and puts them all in the lineup at once. Lavon..not so much. Oliver, Poole, and WB all shoot threes well. From an overall team standpoint....statistically speaking...what do we lose, really, with Lavon out of the starting lineup?

When I said play above the rim what i meant was to actually be able to jump(athletic) and get up for a rebound over the rim and bring it down without just swatting at it like we so often do.Dunking also helps; You know, like the opponents we play who get in the paint and just go up and slam it home as all to often happens against us and yes of course you have to be able to score and play D.GO SAINTS!!

I agree that we need more production from the 3 next season and replace 2 shooting guards. I like what we have on the roster for next season to fill those needs I told you we would have more dunks this season and we will have even more next season. I also said we would have balanced scoring and we did...not one player but a team As for Lavon I said double figures and improved shooting percentages. He also took twice as many 3's at a higher percentage. #RightOnTrack It sounds like we had a very successful season. No, a season full of injuries which make it impossible to judge.

It sounds like we had a very successful season. I remember when Lavon was supposed to dunk more this year cause he worked on his explosiveness in the offseason. One more bad game and Lavon might lose that precious double figure scoring. Needs to score at least 7 points next game. That's only happened 2x in the last 7 games. Injuries set Lavon back but his teammates dunked and that is what I expected. And it is what I said would happen. Can't predict injuries As for Lavon's double figures its because of his great start that he ended the season there. He is the 3rd leading scorer and leading rebounder on the team.... that was expected of him and a goal he set for himself. He will work in the off season and add more to his game. I told you he would not be the size. Next year we will have the size that will help his game and help us win games

Lavon is the 3rd leading scorer and leading rebounder. What he brings to the table is not always seen in the stats. For one thing he is a primary ballhandler #Facts

Being the leading rebounder on this team, this year, isn't much of an accomplishment. He's ranked 30th in the league in rebound rate per bbstate. WB (20) and Paige (16) are the only Saints ranked ahead of him. So, on average, every other team has just under 3 rebounders on their team better than him... WOO. HOO. Congrats. Someone find me a 30th place ribbon to award. JO is ranked 36th. Pretty bad for a guy who is supposed to sit under the rim. We need our rebounders back, BAD.

Ok to take the emphasis off Lavon here's some other tidbits.
Assist rate: Wright (2nd), Hymes (25th), Long (42nd), Poole (48th)
Steal percentage: Marquis Wright (6th), WB (9th), Oliver (15th), White (25th)
Block rate: JO (5th), WB (19th), Long(31st)
Maurice White is ranked last at 148th in the conference in offensive efficiency (148/11 teams = 13.45 players per team) He is 21st in the conference in usage %...only Evan Hymes is ahead of him...basically shots taken per min.

The only thing that matters is 10-19. Every team has injuries, bottom line is we weren't deep enough. Let's go to work and turn this thing around.

True and why I welcome all of the good players we can get that are ready to play right away. To push each other and make sure that we are never in this position again

We had depth before the injuries. We found out the drop off was greater than once believed though. The injury bug was brutal...worse because we were not prepared for it.
