How about film on Niagara? Could I interest you in this bridge I own in Brooklyn? It does bring up a thought - I wonder what LL does when the team watches game films (I am making a gross assumption here I realize) - didn't he go on record (actually it was the TU I think) saying he didn't watch basketball games?

JO blocked 4 shots. He had become a good shot blocker

JO with one board. WB managed to get 8 but JO only 1. I think Patsos was actually singleing out JO not Hymes. Evan did not have a stellar last 6 min. of the game.

How about film on Niagara? Don't think there will be time for that, as Siena played two hours later than Niagara today, PLUS had to travel three hours to get home whereas Niagara is already home practicing our in bounds plays. Oh wait, nope, they just finished, that was fast!

Flashback to Lanier teams who couldn't inbound. Yikes. As I have stated, the similarities to Lanier are frightening-- right down to overall record. LMAO

OK, he's not Fran McCaffery either. Fine. Lanier and Mitch took over elite programs and slowly ran them into the ground. Patsos took over a worse dumpster fire than Hewitt and McCaffery did combined. Sometimes you have to put it on the players. The sideline out of bounds plays were fine how about we execute one of them for a change and not turn the damn ball over? Look he hasn't done a very good job this year but everything that could have gone wrong this year has. Next year is a big year and should be much better. We overachieved and got some breaks this year and underachieved and got few breaks this year. Next year four upperclassmen (at least) will be starting and on paper Patsos best class has been signed. Let's see how it all plays out. I'm still optimistic. I do want to see Jimmy make a lot of changes in the off-season (i.e. coaching staff moves and off-season programs etc) to get ready for a big 2015-2016 season.

MTS agree, due to what has gone on this year. Not even a coaching competitor would have wished this season on Pastos.

Unfortunately for JP he joins the 3 aboved mentioned coaches as the only ones to lose 20 games in a season. Going to be really tough to dig out of that hole. Lucky for him he is going to get a chance, the others didn't.

Nope. A coach needs more than 3 years. He gets a chance. I do not see a big turnaround coming next year though. .500 will be pretty good or projected. I'd say preseason 5th or 6th.

Pre-season doesn't matter at all. But, I say with core returners, a healthy Brett & Imoh back and some promising frosh this team does make a decent turnaround.

I'd say Wright, JO, and Bisping is a good team to build around. Need to find the right 5 man combo to work with those three.

Lucky for him he is going to get a chance, the others didn't. Well yes if you want to look at Siena's history of coaches only John Griffin had a losing season and didn't end up getting fired (that was his first year in 1982-83 a 12-16 season). But there are exceptions. Next year is a big one for Jimmy but I wouldn't say he has a "hole to dig out of"... but if he doesn't win next year then he will put himself in a position that he might not get out of. Losing 19 or 20 either way it's bad I don't get too hung up - a losing season is a losing season. But sure finishing 10-20 or 11-20 (which we will almost certainly finish with one of those two records) stings a lot of worse than if we were at least able to win 13-15 games. At least the team has been for the most part competitive lately.. 6 point loss at Monmouth - 6 point loss to Manhattan - OT loss to Canisius. We just can't finish a game. Last chance for 2014-15 on Thursday late afternoon.
