The difference is football is a UA priority, basketball is not. What is the seating capacity of the "planned" renovation. I hope it is at least 7000 to accommodate a "home game". I doubt that it will happen given UA's inability to fill the current facility capacity. It just doesn't make any business sense. It doesn't have to it will only cost us $14.00 in taxes. I'll reimburse you personally double...deal?

Mitch-- the gift that keeps on giving. Mitch isn't your only problem...Patsos isn't doing much better. At some point it won't be an anomaly any more and you won't be able to blame Mitch.

If UA is the draw, why is their only 1200 at most of your games? The ONLY game most of your "fans" care about is the one at a real arena where they can get a beer, meal and walk to the game. UA isn't the draw, UA v Siena is the draw. For anyone here to deny this is dumb. If only Siena was the draw you'd have the 10k-11k crowd at every game. Truth is you have around 5k (half that). The minute you say 5,000 a game, you lose all credibility. So many UAlbany grads, that never go to your campus to see a game, WILL go to a game at a big time arena. So sure, you guys add 2-3K fans to this game. Congrats. This is why my "rewarding the season ticket holder" plan makes the most sense for this game to rotate facilities. So for you guys, 1000 people would get great seats for the game where ever it was. The ones that just want to be seen at the "Siena game," take what they get.

You gonna run me? Lol. I never tried to compare the two fanbases there is no comparison. But don't sit there and tell me you'll have any game maac or non maac get anywhere near 10k. Don't be an imbecile...to say that this matchup isn't the reason for this crowd is BS. Just call it as it is, you don't want to ceede an inch to UA which is OK, but let's not pretend that UA v Siena isn't the reason for this crowd. clack-- you know not what you speak of, Siena has had several regular season crowds over 10K for MAAC games Niagara , Manhattan Iona, Fairfield have all drawn over 10K at TUC for regular season.. and Siena routinely goes over 10 k for MAAC tournament games-- nice try through Of course the local angle draws fans-- never tried to say it didnt-- but lets not be so stupid as to say Siena wont get 10 k for any other opponent, because history says your wrong..and the vast majority of fans at the game are SIENA FANS I'm sure Siena has drawn over 10K before, but with their recent results and teams, they're not in a place you want to be negotiating wise. In my opinion both teams won't budge and there will be no game next year.

This is Siena, either he produces or he is fired. The thing is, the more you guys protest, the more it is obvious that it would hurt UAlbany to lose this game much more than it would hurt Siena. I mean, the game was over 4 days ago, move on.

Says the guy who's forum has doubkw the thread on the subject of the UA board. I hope UA pauses this series to see Siena crawl back in two years, and you will!

I agree, and it will hurt UA more than it will Siena. It will hurt both schools. It will, I agree, but UA needs it more. The attendances show that. This one game a year, probably drew more UA fans out to see their team, than any other game at the SEFCU. Sure they can make some more money at a game where 10 UA fans will attend, and that's great if that's what you want for your fans.

My only concern is you wanting half the tickets at sefcu. I think there could be some room there though. I really like your point about tying season ticket holders to good seats at the TUC.

BOTH groups of STH should be taken care of. Obviously, it's impossible at the SEFCU to take care of all the Siena STH's, but thats why I do think half the tickets is fair since UA has access to half the tickets at the TUC every year.
