St Peters will be good and I have a ton of respect for John Dunn, but I think it’s more about what Siena does next year. I’m confident our field goal pct will go up considerably this year. Go back thru the years and look at freshmen who played their first year and you will see their filed goal pct almost always went up their sophomore year , sometimes a little, sometimes a considerable increase. I am hopeful Jimmy will take advantage of our depth and run and gun a bit more and more importantly take the reins off the half-court offense, now it may have been we had so many freshmen playing but he had a tendency at times to micro manage the half court offense. If we can get up to 74 ppg or so—I’m fairly confident we will be at or very near the top of the MAAC – we are sub 70ppg again this year and we will struggle to finish top 3

The scoring will be there if the shooting is there. The two issues were closely related. I saw a completely different team that last game of the season. They executed on offense and hit their shots - the result was an 81 point effort. They shot 45% FG, 40% from 3, and 76% from the line. I'll take that stat line most nights.

Well that's what happens when there are multiple shooters in the lineup.. You can't play with just Poole and Bisping out there and expect defenses to give them open looks. There has to be another shooting threat.. Oliver is that. Saints played way too much time last year with lineups designed to stop themselves from putting up points.. We have to trade offense for defense every time. The frosh seem like guys that could be capable of both. That kind of thing gets you on the court.

I liked the way the team played that night Jimmy unleashed them-- Brett hit a three 11 seconds into game and Saints never looked back-- attacked on offensive side of ball entire game-- hope we see much more of that offense this year
