Forgot about him-- he will be like a 23 year old sophomore-plus I'm sure Iona will get a few more transfers/juco's over next few months. Agreed Iona will be favorite They already have a JUCO signed up for next year according to their board on the recruiting thread. Coming in as a sophomore. bit of a mystery as he has a different last name from his HS days and didn't play in college this past season. Tony you might be right about Amayo's age. looked him up on verbal commits. he had some BCS offers then wound up bouncing around and now at Iona. really good player though. Kelvin Amayo is a typical Iona recruit..LOL listen to this Amayo committed to Towson in May 2011, but in August of that year he was declared ineligible by the NCAA out of Newark NIA Prep because of a lack of core classes. His appeal for a waiver was denied in September 2011. Enrolled at Marshall in January 2011 as a non-qualifier... Was a three-star recruit out of high school (class of 2011) by Rivals.com. He played at Marshall all of 3 games avg about 3ppg..before leaving Marshall over a tiff about his scholarship/ So Amayo has played all of 3 college games in his career and will be 23 on Jan9 of next season, if he sticks around to graduate Kelvin will be about 30 years old as a senior

Thank you Th24; I believe you have proven my point. Siena will not pay 1M in the event they move to the A10. Not without significant (and by that I mean a run like Shaka in the NCAA tourney) wins over a period of some time in some higher league in the Universe. Just sayin........

A10 H.C. Basketball Salaries: Smart-1,500,000 Pecora-705,000 before extension Mooney-700,000 Kellogg-665,000 Hewitt- 659,750 Hurley-600,000 before extension Ferry-600,000 Dr. G- 426,230 before extension Schmidt-328,465 before extension Crews-unknown Miller-unknown Lonergan-unknown Martelli-unknown As I said, Siena will NOT BE GOING to 1M. There would need to be some significant (and by that I mean better than Shaka's runs in the NCAA) results on a bigger stage, in a higher league, in some Universe.

Where does Grasso find these guys? Do you suppose he has a database of every player who had flamed out elsewhere?

Correct Siena will never pay 1M, no sense to when looking at what your competitions doing. Pastos will probably long term at Siena. Don't see him B10 material. I believe he knows his limitations and he is loyal as they come. When at Loyola he always played up the capital district. Give him frans salary, his wanting loyalty from school fans more than likely long term. Look around and ask why some of these high profile coach have mot left their institutions, just plain like the schools and where they are located.
