I know we lost the last two games but wow I don't think there is anyone else on the team I am more comfortable with out there. As a freshman even sniffing a triple double from the pg spot is mind boggling. I only saw highlights and listened on the radio-- it must have been a treat to see it live although it was a loss. In maac games this year, a 2 to 1 assist /TO ratio and 15 steals is incredible not to mention the decent rebounds and scoring while playing nearly all possible minutes. A pleasure to watch.

Do not remember if it was posted today but Wright was named ROW for the 2nd time today. Josh James has won twice and Khalid Hart 4 times. I guess those are the frontrunners for ROY. Congrats Marquis !!

Marquis deserves every accolade he has earned. Steady, cool, mature and a team player. Might have been a real contest had Michael Wolfe gotten more minutes. We will see him as POW many times once he starts logging significant minutes. May not come until next year but I see the combo of Wright-Cole-White-Wolfe as all MAAC every time out! We pay our dues this year and enjoy the benefits of full membership next!!!! Let's go Saints.

Jon Rothstein @jonrothstein 10h
Siena has a gem in 6-foot freshman Marquis Wright. PG is averaging 5.8 APG. Has handed out 32 dimes in his last five games.
Marquis getting some national love too. If he can improve his outside shot and foul shooting the sky is the limit for this kid. I can't wait to see him leading Siena to many great wins over the next 3 1/2 years! Next great Siena PG! Like Kenny Hasbrouck said on Quis: "He's got it".

Don't get me wrong - love the kid, am confident he can do it but as of now, my comment stands without him.

This kid is going to get that triple double (something Ron never did, unbelieveably!). I can't wait to watch it.

I disagree here. I would say 16 pts, 11 rebs & 3 blocks are as good as anything the other 3 have done on the court (even expanding their stats out to 29 mins). If I heard right, the radio guys gave him player of the game. And I find one of your excuses to be especially poor. It shows your bias. The omission is more likely to start a trash bin as it already has, esp by your admission of why you chose to omit him. Sort of like bait by omission.
Edit: This was directed toward MP's comment above.

Congrats Marquis !! No, I didn't know this and I don't think I knew about the first one either.. It is nice to see him get recognized alongside some of the other great frosh in the maac. Can't wait to Thursday already which is saying something after three big losses.

Congratulations & well deserved.
It's always easy to give the weekly award to the Frosh who scores, but the MAAC is finally getting it - that a PG who isn't known as a scorer can win it too. Not saying he can't score, but for MAAC to reward a true PG. Without Wright we don't play as well or win.
I hoping by year's end JO, Long, White & Wolf can win it at least once. I think the Siena Women's team have had like 3 or 4 different Frosh win ROW.
Let's Go Saints!!!

I agree and it shows growth in the media to recognize the pg position for what it truly is..I said when the season started that he would recieve multiple awards because he leads the league in the 2 important categories for his position. ..I love when the pg is rewarded for playing the position the right way..too often a pg will be told he needs to score to be recognized and they change their games for the worse .

Wright and Long are, in my opinion the only two that have the potential to play enough minutes over the couse of a week to have a ROW shot. Need to be consistent, and khalid Hart winning 4 already might be tough to catch, but there's a lot of ball lrft to be played.
