I have started to Howl when Wolf scores Funny. Wolfe has a nice stroke at the line. Wolfe is good from behind the arc as well another face up 4 with athleticism and range on his jumper

Seeing as I was recently banned, then reinstated (thanks Tony) for questioning the crowd; I will tread lightly. I do have some ideas. Like to hear 'em, here they go.
1. Close off the upper bowl, force all fans to sit down low. Tarp off the top. This will create a 'college atmosphere' and amplify sound. 2. Get rid of some of the stupid promos they run ala the Dunkin' Donut Dance off and replace with energetic music. I am getting promo'd to death at these games. 3. Move the student section closer to the court. The section sits 20 feet back. Platform should be moved up right behind chearleaders. Ideally get more students to game would also help.
If anyone recalls the Patroons at the Armory and the Patroons at the Knick, it was a totally different experience.

I guess this is just the kind of town Albany is: we come up with all these structural changes that the arena should do, or the school should do, etc. No interest in what *we* should do.

They are soft changes. 7 thousand people is 7 thousand people. But concentrated there is more energy. Believe me I know people need to get into it a little more.

If anyone recalls the Patroons at the Armory and the Patroons at the Knick, it was a totally different experience. The upper bowl thing should have happened. The seats that are closed off in the lower bowl are much safer and accessible (and better seats) than the majority of the upper bowl seats. But, the season ticket holders complained and Siena felt they had to cater to them. The student section should be closer to the court--- I think they used to be until the front office complained about rushing the court in the maac tournament. I have no idea why this had to carry over to regular season games. I could be off on the reason-- one may have nothing to do with the other. The promos I am afraid are likely here to stay. We have to find ways to get around this during regular game action. CenterSquare Ed is calling on the fans to do their part-- I think it should start simple with a few vocal people and see if it can build from there.

The upper courtside seats are much better than the lower endzone, so that will never happen.

I think we have discussed this ALMOST as many times as what position Lavon plays! Well, maybe not. Bottom line - arena is set - change has to come from the students and us but given our "experience levels" we need the students to give us the lift a Viagra won't!

The upper courtside seats are much better than the lower endzone, so that will never happen. I prefer to see the arc of the ball on a jumper so anywhere low to me is better than high. But opinions will vary. I just think the energy would be better if the place was filled. Fairfield and UMass have the perfect size venues for this level, in my humble opinion.

I'm sorry - The T.U. is the ideal size for Siena..and in the the days of Fran/Hewitt the T.U. was crowed & rocking!!!

Seems the majority of people that think closing off the upper level seating are people who aren't sitting up there and already have good seats down there. To you it may sound great. To those of us without good seats downstairs we would much prefer being able to sit at midcourt upstairs to being stuck behind the hoop downstairs.
