Just want back further on Gotham Hoops timeline and saw this:
Gotham Hoops, LLC @gothamhoops 27 Dec Marcus Hopper has earned his release from Siena. The 6-7 junior will redshirt the 2013-14 season and have 2 years of eligibility remaining
Was this mentioned here and I just missed it during the holidays?

A big who never played for a very talented guard is a great trade. As jimmy stated 10 times in a speech I was at in November we need more talent. Your precious big will come too so you kid can stay at the 3

i'd certainly prefer another big. only names i've seen linked to siena in the past were Brandwijk and i suppose Burns if the coaches could convince him to go back to the class of '14, not sure how likely that is.

We have 4 bigs and no consisten shooters. We need shooters and it would be good if one was a combo guard. We will get a forward too

Just wondering from those that know the NCAA rules. How is it possible Hopper got his release already or did he leave the team after the first semester. Or is this just a verbal agreement. Do not see how you can redshirt the whole season when you have received a release and other schools are contacting you while sitting in street clothes on Siena's bench. The reason I am asking is because it sounds like quite a few kids are transferring mid-year and now a scholarship is available right away if he is no longer part of the Siena program

It was known he was leaving ad he redshirted to save eligibility. Coaches helping him find a school - he should go D2

I dont think Cole is a PG.. Jimmy needs talent on this team ..Looking at team we have way more talent up front than Backcourt.. no back up point-- Hymes IS 5'8" Audu and Oliver haven't given us much first half.. to me and this is just my 2 cents a combo guard top priority and then a 3 or 4 that can shoot the 3 next

The problem with a mid-season transfer is it doesn't help balance classes. I think we can as long as the ship is now available.

No guards have left yet...those numbers mean alot of competition in the backcourt. ..I agree we need a backup pg... we already have 3s and 4s that can shoot the 3
