Loved the fight in this game and the 29 offensive boards, as well as Brett's double-double. This should be the focal point of the game rather than Jimmy taking all his timeouts in the first half, which I have no problem with because this team is still young and had never seen a team this good. Things happen, and they'll get better from it. dalydoseofhoops.blogspot.com/2013/11/saints-show-fight-despite-27-point.html

Comments he made before and after the gimmick made that situation even worse. I think he has moved on from that mistake. Tonight was all about teaching, and I have no problems with the timeouts. In fact, they kept the team in the game longer imo.

Hammering white for not playing well against purdue and memphis is silly. although he had some good moments against purdue....
Our veterans are on the lower end of the recruiting food chain. A game like this really was going to require some veteran leadership and some of those veterans to step up. Poole Hymes and Silas just arent physically capable of doing that against this level of talent. that put a TON of pressure on the young guys and that showed with Long and White both really trying to force things and step up. Poole was invisible for most of the game. Hymes had some horrific turnovers for the experience he has and silas just didnt have it today.
The bright side is that our youth have shown flashes of competing athletically with some good players
Outclassed and lacking experience especially at guard made for a tough day. Put this one to bed and forget it ever happened.
This siena team doesnt really hand check much. Memphis did and was allowed to hand check quite a bit. it really disrupted Hymes and Wright

Just back from the 2 games. What can you say other than Memphis is the big leagues and our guys aren't ready to compete with them...yet! Some nice moments from Bisping & Wolfe, heavy learning for everyone who's smart. Now comes St. Joe's, and it will be a good gut check. If we can hang with LaSalle on their court, we can compete with St. Joe's on a neutral site. Hopefully our guys will bounce back tomorrow.
All that said, a relatively unheralded LSU team looked as strong tonight as Memphis did. The match-up of those 2 should be interesting tomorrow.
GO SAINTS!!

He don't give white time to get warn. Coach did the same thing at Loyola. He plays the hot hand. I wouldn't sweat the stats in this game too much, this is an unusual level of opponent. Tomorrow's St. Joe's game is more important.

Connor Fenlon, his parents & sister were at the game.
After Siena's game, Glen "Big Baby" Davis came to watch the LSU/St Joe's game. Being a Celtic fan, I miss having him on the team. Since he's on Orlando, he can to watch his old team. Allowed several people to pose for pics with him. Jokingly harassed the St Joe's Hawk.
